Decent quality postcard sized sheets of thick watercolour paper, rough surface and idea for quick watercolour sketches

Very textured, nice weight, good thickness, worked for the project I had in mind.

This is a very good performing paper with a medium texture but a nice deckled edge if you like to keep the paper looking hand made. When laying down a lot of layered waterery washes it does buckle a bit and didn't dry flat but can be remedied by wetting the back after drying and laying flat. For other techniques it performed very well. 1. Smooth gradient colour washes. 2. Doesn't tear with masking tape or washi tape. 3. Performs well with white masking fluid ( but blue does stain) 4. Good results when lifting colour. 5. Texture is a little too even for dry brushing sparkle on seascapes in my opinion. Other than that a good cheaper option paper ( works out at 56p a sheet) at time of buying) that performs very well. Pity it doesn't come in larger sizes.

Sold as handmade… pretty sure it isn’t, far too regular and smooth. Also more like card than paper. Perfectly fine if you want a nice piece of card but I regularly buy handmade paper and it’s nothing like this and not what I wanted.
