I got this because the remote for my TV has never really worked that great. I end up pressing whatever button I want at least 5 to 10 times before it actually works. I never thought that it was actually the remote that was the problem, I always presumed it was the TV. When I saw this, I got it on a whim and I'm so glad that I did. Firstly there is no special set up. You literally just put batteries in and it works. Secondly there's a Hulu button instead of a weird offbrand channel button so that makes things really nice. Also, IT WORKS! I only need to hit a button once for it to actually do what it's supposed to do. Visually it looks almost exactly the same as the stock remote the TV comes with. The biggest difference between the two physically is the weight. This, with batteries, weighs the exact same as the original remote without its batteries. It's nice that it's not so heavy, and it doesn't feel cheap. I wish I bought this years ago, I've been struggling for four years now when I could've just got this remote and not struggled at all. 10/10 I'm not joking.

Luckily, I haven't yet lost my original remote. I have, however, decided that I need more than one to make sure that I can use the TV IF the kids or neighbors lose it for me. I also have some spares in my offices at church where we have several Samsung TVs. The remotes are identical to the original, and they pair very easily to your existing TV. The buttons work well and have a similar feel to the original. Everything works well--but this is a much better value because it's about a third of the price as the original.

My dog ate the remote that came with my Samsung smart TV, so I ordered this as a replacement. It looks almost identical to the original, but the Netflix button doesn’t seem to work, and my son complains that you have to press the buttons to fast forward rather than holding them down. Other than that, it works just like the original and is actually a bit lighter, which is nice. No programming was needed, just pop in a couple of batteries, and it’s ready to go. Very happy to have a working remote that’s currently free of teeth marks!

I ordered this remote to replace one for a 5 year old Samsung TV. A few buttons were worn beyond recognition and the battery cover was long gone. This one looks exactly like the original as far as the shape and all the controls. There are some differences as far as the original being housed in smoother, heavier, and more solid material, (kids said this one feels 3D printed) but it’s a perfectly acceptable replacement. I expected to have to program or sync it somehow but I just popped the batteries in and it worked perfectly right away.

If you want the direct buttons for those three or so stations, fine. However, the other buttons, like settings etc, are now crammed into the bottom area and btw, why don't these ever light up? it's a total brail remote, a little light would be nice. I hate to ding but come on, with that many controls, a light would be nice but that missing and all the buttons smaller, just doesn't work for me, sorry.

Very cheap replacement remote. Definitely not as good of quality as the original samsung one, but it does function fine. The build quality just feels very cheap and roughly constructed. If you just need a functional, cheap, replacement remote, this will do the trick, but don't expect a true samsung replacement.
