Useful plug extender. Quality plastic. No overheating or weird smells even with multiple plugs used including a heater. USB types are a plus.

I bought this Addtam outlet extender for the wall outlet near our kitchen table, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. We often sit there to work on laptops or charge phones while eating or chatting, and before this, we were constantly swapping plugs. Now everyone can charge at once without any clutter. The extender fits snugly in the outlet and feels sturdy, even with several chargers plugged in. The outlet spacing is generous, so the big laptop bricks don’t block other ports. The four USB ports, especially the USB-C, are super convenient and charge our phones quickly. The compact, black design looks neat and blends in well with the wall—nothing bulky or awkward about it. Pros: fast charging, solid fit, great outlet spacing, clean design. Cons: no power switch or light indicator, which would’ve been a nice touch. For the price, this outlet extender offers excellent value and makes our kitchen area much more functional. Perfect for families or anyone who needs to charge multiple devices in a shared space.

Unlike other outlet extenders, this does not have a recessed back, so it does not fully cover the duplex outlet. Others have a ridge around the outlet, but as you can see in the image, there is a gap that allows for items to get behind the extender and the wall. This has a potential to be a fire or shock hazard. On another petty gripe level, you can see that the center hole that goes to the screw is not finished very well and is just a gaping hole. There are better outlet extender choices available. Update: Funny enough, the plug not going all the way to the wall actually allows me to set my phone on top of the plug, and that is something I could do it it was flush. Giving it one more star : 0)

Too bulky. Will order the flat wall extender next time.

Update: 12/25 Down to one star. I took it down and threw it away. None of the charging ports work, and it popped a fuse when I plugged in a vacuumed cleaner. Lesson learned. DON'T BUY!! I'm giving this two stars because the one socket I bought it for is iffy at best and barely works I'mThe rest is okay. So I'll keep it. Oh, and the back isn't counter sunk making it sit proud of the wall, A minor thing, I just wish manufacturers took more care.

False advertising. It states you get 4 USB ports, but you can't use both USB C at the same time. I plug in my wireless phone charger to either one, works fine. As soon as I plug in a bluetooth speaker to charge on the other USB, my phone stops charging. I bought 2 of these outlets and they both work the same way. So it isn't a defective unit, it's a bad and misleading design.
