The quality of this “ Friendship String” or embroidery thread is very good. The colors are vibrant, definitely worth the price. The thread is sturdy and doesn’t break. I wanted a natural string; not synthetic. I did buy plastic embroidery bobs to wind it on (sold elsewhere on Amazon), which you should do for any embroidery thread to keep it from tangling while working with it. This was very easy to do - found the cut end on the inside of the loop. Just put loop on your hand, find cut end on inside of loop, and start winding the thread on the bob and it does not tangle at all. See photo of my wound thread. #FriendshipString #EmbroideryThread

I am beyond impressed with these cross-stitch threads! The quality is outstanding — they’re soft, durable, and don’t fray or tangle easily like some other brands I’ve tried. The colors are vibrant and true to the pictures, which makes my stitching projects pop. I've been investigating what brand of embroidery floss I want to use for my crafts business and Le Paon was one of the major contenders at one point. This was my favorite pack of their floss other than the 240 pack I've yet to try but will sometime. It's a hard to beat value, you get two of each color so little worry about being able to complete most projects, and I was able to create pretty good gradients with these colors. I even got two so I could see how much the packs vary - not much. Of the 54 total colors, only 2 were different between the packs. What I don't like about the 50-packs is the lack of black and white astThose are my most commonly-used colors. There's also a disappointing lack of grey and brown in all their packs except for those that cost more than DMC, and I will not pay more for lower quality embroidery floss. Luckily Le Paon sells packs of black and white, but not at the same kind of value of the 50-packs (you can get black and white 500g DMC cones cheaper per "skein" than their black and white packs at Joann's!) Ultimately I think I'm going to have to stick with DMC in the long run due to the ability to buy specific colors especially blacks, whites, greys, and browns, to buy bulk cones, and overall the quality difference. Though I have to say, I really prefer the matte look of these strings to how shiny DMC is. Bit of a shame.

First time trying to use these for sewing. Loved the colors and they didn’t seem to get tangled like other threads I have tried. Worked well with the felt I was using. Good value for the money. The variety of colors I really liked. Seem durable.
