📦 PACKAGING 📦 The foraging toy arrives in a simple, no-nonsense brown cardboard box and is incredibly straightforward to put together right out of the packaging. ♢ Cage Secure: The back of the unit features a large, sturdy plastic screw-cap mechanism, allowing you to mount it tightly and securely between the wire bars of an enclosure. ♢ Bonus Feature: It also includes a mirrored backing panel, which adds an extra element of visual stimulation. 🖐 USING 🖐 The design of the spinning egg dispenser is unique and functions perfectly, though it does require a specific technique to load: ♢ The "Letterbox" Opening: The egg compartment is completely sealed except for a narrow, letterbox-style slit. Depending on the size of the treats you intend to use, this can make filling it up a little tricky. However, I filled mine with dry oats and found I could easily use the egg opening itself as a scoop to load the treats inside. ♢ Smooth Spinning Action: Once filled, the egg snaps snugly and securely into the grooves of the supporting arms. It is very easy to remove for cleaning, yet sits perfectly balanced so that it spins freely and smoothly at the lightest touch. 🐀 THE RAT TEST 🐀 I purchased this as an enrichment and engagement tool for my pet rats, and it provided some fantastic entertainment: ♢ Pocket-Sized Thieves: In comparison to the size of a fully grown rat, the toy is actually quite small. The first time I introduced it during out-of-cage free-roam time, I was thoroughly amused to watch some of them simply pick up the entire toy in their mouths and run off with it! ♢ The Reward System: When they actually chose to interact with it properly, the rats easily figured out how to spin the egg. Any dislodged oats fell perfectly onto the little integrated catching plate directly underneath. 🙂 VERDICT 🙂 While the mechanics work flawlessly, the physical scale of the toy is simply too small for a group of rats. Because the feeding tray is so compact, it inevitably caused a few squabbles and arguments when multiple rats tried to crowd around it at once. This is a well-made, highly affordable enrichment toy that functions exactly as it should. However, due to its size, it is probably far better suited for smaller, solitary pets like hamsters. A great toy, just check the dimensions for larger pets.

My rats love this product. They always eat their nuggets from this feeder. Curious minds need stimulation. Perfect and easy to put together.

Didn't open and broke very easy

Much smaller than expected or shown in images. Will only hold very small pieces of food, rice crispies are way too big! So quite limited in function. This makes it very expensive for what it is and I would not buy it again. Seller provided a partial refund to compensate. Good seller.

Money well spent my rats love using it

Really good thankyou. We have to Rats but they are very clever amd figured it out very quickly. But they still enjoy it. Very study. Well made.

Was funny to watch them try and figure this thing out at first, but rats are smart and they know it too well after 2 times, I still throw bunch of food in it and a couple of little treats, just to give them something extra to do. Great product and pretty durable, I bought extra and still using the first one well over a month later. Rats always get excited when I put stuff in it.

Well worth the money. My female rats absolutely love it. I put cherios in it. They will spin this all day and caught on quick. And as a extra bonus you get to watch them figure it out and spin in for treats. It looks kinda small at first but its the perfect size for them to operate it also you would not need it any bigger because the more treats the more they eat lol. Because they will spin it til there's none left!

My rats LOVE this thing - even when they aren’t actively trying to get food they like to swivel it around over and over. They were skeptical and a little afraid of it at first, but when they realized it dispenses food they were psyched. I put a seed/crunch mix inside since the opening is rather small. Just be careful that whatever you put in there isn’t too tiny, or it’ll flow out too quickly. My rats haven’t shown an interest in chewing on it but the plastic seems durable. It’s easy to clean by wiping down. The little blue piece comes off and can be rinsed/dried. I honestly like this enrichment toy way better than the other, more expensive options. Just be mindful of refilling it so they can actually get good use out of it!
