Made of thin microfiber fabric, it feels nice against the skin, and my kids really like it. It's roomy enough to change into/out of clothes underneath while staying covered. It also has a pocket for holding small items, which is a nice touch. There's also a wide range of colors available, so I got different colors for my kids — cute. It wasn't quite as quick-drying as I expected, though, so I'd recommend bringing an extra towel along just in case.

Received many compliments. Fits well. Purchased for boy (normally sized 12, 88lbs.) but good for unisex/girl. He can easily change out of wet swimwear incognito. Made from microfiber, is soft, thick, durable, and beautifully absorbent. We really like it and would totally buy this product again.

I grabbed an adult and a kid-sized robe for a recent indoor water park trip and couldn’t be happier. The material was fine for two us-soft and absorbent-but my wife declined one due to material sensory issues. If you don’t like the “sticky” or “catchy” feel of microfiber, then opt for an all-cotton robe instead. I did notice that the material caught on my dry fingertips a bit, but my kiddo and I were really comfy and dry all weekend long. Highly recommend for cooler swimming contexts. Might be too hot for the beach.

So great for taking to swim lessons. The instructors even commented on how cool it is. The blue is more of a bright blue, rather than the muted that is shown. It’s holding up well in the wash. Only complaint is that it holds dirt and grass like velcro! But I think that’s just the nature of the material.

These were great! I was worried about the material based on other reviews… It’s definitely not plush but still soft and comfy and dries quickly and easy to pack up.. Our whole family has a suncube now hahah

This runs small. My son is almost 6, and he's average size for his age. We bought this specifically for quick changes at the beach, but this doesn't give him enough room to comfortably maneuver to change out of trunks. We ordered the smaller size based on the listed recommended age, but we should have ordered the bigger one. I would say if you're child is on the upper end, size up. Sizing aside, the poncho is an OK value for the money as long as your kids don't have sensory issues. It's made of the thin microfiber--basically the same material as microfiber kitchen or auto cloths. Soft but it's the kind of fabric that seems to grab/snag your skin when you brush your hand across it. The quality is nowhere near the brand that rhymes with BandLoud, but I can't bring myself to pay their prices for a towel that will be stained with melted RocketPop and DippinDots after the first use, so it's fine. I'll return the one we bought since it's too small. Undecided on whether I'll order the larger size or just look for something else.

I originally bought this in the adult size and have used / loved it for years now... however, I travel quite often for diving and the adult size takes up soooooo much space in my luggage (besides looking just ridiculously large on me). So I bought the 'teen' size to try out. For reference, I'm 5'5" and about 120 lbs. It just arrived, so I haven't used it yet, BUT it does feel/look exactly the same as the adult one (except smaller, obviously). It comes down to my knees and is roomy enough to change inside. My experience so far (with the adult one) - it is definitely microfiber (although it looks more like a normal towel), in that it has that 'sticky' feeling but does indeed get you dry. Also, it dries very quickly - I used it on a dive trip where we were diving 3 times a day, and after each dive it was already completely dry/warm. Love this poncho!
