Clear watch out for after sales costs Used ghis 400 USD umbrella for one season outside in summer, winterized it in basement, then got it out and all 4 elements of the base are not water sealed any more, they cannot hold water. Hence base is useless. Seller offered nee one for 150 USD minus 5% discount, as umbrella was bought a bit more than 1 year ago. Hence per season plan to pay extra 30+% on top to make it safe, based on continuous use and 'wear and tear rate' of base after one season. Disappointed and dissatisfied with solution by seller and Amazon (3rd party item). Clear watch out in terms of costs!

We recently installed a new patio in our backyard and set out to find good shade options that wouldn't break the bank. I purchased the 9'x12' Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Base in beige. The item arrived in two boxes (base in one and the umbrella in the other) within the shipping window they provided. The umbrella box is pretty heavy so you may need two people, or at least a wagon or dolly to move it. The instructions were easy enough to understand, especially if you have watched the video that you can access by scanning the QR code in the instructions, which shows how each piece fits together. I was able to assemble the umbrella by myself, only needing a second person for the last step where you lift the umbrella onto the base. The umbrella is tall and heavy, so not recommended to lift it solo. I quickly realized that this particular umbrella was just a bit too large for our space. We didn't quite have the clearance needed for the umbrella ribs to swing open, and it just wouldn't be practical to have to move all our furniture every time we needed to open and close the umbrella. That said, this would be a great option for someone with room enough in their space for it. The umbrella itself was high quality, and the color was as vibrant as beige can be. Once it's fully open it shades a massive area, and the canopy can easily be swung around 360 degrees to cover just the right area or move with the sun. It was easy for me to use the lever to open and close it (I am a 5'4" woman for reference). It's a bummer our space was just a little too small for it. The company was polite and quick to respond for the return. I would recommend Phi Villa to anyone in the market for a patio umbrella.

The size of this umbrella is awesome. And the value seems better than normal. But as you can see from the video, it is blowing around. Without the bottom stabilizers the umbrella falls over and that is bulky. This also takes 2 people to assemble just because one person has to help hold one piece while the other puts it together.

Weights not heavy enough even with the sand plus water. Looking for additional weight. Nice umbrella but went over with a single gust of wind. Love the size and held up to falling over. We just reinforced one area that bent slightly.
