LAMAZE Clip & Go Jacques The Peacock, One Size

I purchased this toy for my twin granddaughters because the colors were so lovely and the animal was extremely cute! Most importantly, the product description gave complete information that ascertained there were no harmful materials or chemicals that could harm my grandbabies. I had it mailed to my address so that I could take it and other gifts when I flew to my daughter's house for Christmas. Quite a speedy delivery,I received it yesterday and when I pulled it out of the box I was shocked at the size and colors of this toy! The peacock is much bigger than I expected and the beautiful colors are beyond any baby toy I've seen...it's gorgeous!! I realized that I could NOT just bring one for my grandgirls, so I looked on the Lamaze site and found "Fifi the firefly". As I'm not sure that Fifi will be as large as Jacque, I am certain that the colors will be gorgeous. Whereas the Peacock is wide the firefly is long, a reviewer wrote that the long toy was easier for her 4mo old to handle. My grandchildren will be 5mo old by Christmas so I think each toys' variety of length and width size will be an asset for their learning to manipulate both. As they live in the South, I hope we will have warm days when I can use the ring on each toy to attach the toys to their double stroller. Besides the size and colors of Jaque; each 'feather' segment contains various stimulating surfaces such as mirror, crinkly, silky, puffy, knits as well as a face with big embroidered eyes, and a cute conical nose. On the back of the peacock are different black and white designs on each of the surfaces: stripes, polkadots, triangles, and rectangles. In addition to the visual and tactile there is also a rattle for sound stimulation. I am so pleased the toy has such a range of developmental opportunities for babies. I will highly recommend this Lamaze product. When I return after Christmas I will post information about the babies interaction with the Lamaze products especially Fifi the firefly which I've not received as of yet. Therefore those comments will be posted in the Fifi review. However I have great expectations of both!

The LAMAZE Clip & Go Jacques The Peacock is such a fun baby toy and quickly became a favorite for my son. Its bright colors and playful design immediately grab attention, and the various textures and patterns make it perfect for sensory exploration. Jacques is lightweight and easy for little hands to grab, encouraging motor skill development and independent play. The clip feature is especially handy, allowing us to attach it to a stroller, car seat, or diaper bag so it’s always within reach. It’s durable and well-made, standing up to lots of tiny hands and enthusiastic play without falling apart. The soft materials are also gentle on gums, making it safe for teething babies. Overall, this toy is entertaining, practical, and designed with little ones in mind. It’s been a hit in our household, keeping my son happily engaged and curious wherever we go.

This was the first Lamaze company toy I bought for my daughter. She was a just under a month old but we could tell that she needed something to entertain her to keep her awake during the day. She didn't really have any toys yet and Mommy and Daddy could only entertain her so much before she was done looking at them. So we purchased Jacques and I'm very glad we did. She couldn't actually do much to play with the toy by herself but if we flapped his wings at her or flipped him from the color side to black and white and back again, it made her smile. If we helped her give his squeaker a squeeze her eyes lit up with excitement. At three and a half months now, she likes to bat at him (he's currently hanging from the attached clip to her activity mat) and make his wings make the crinkle sound. She's starting to be able to use her fingers to grab the toy as well. There's so many sensory things on this toy for a baby/ toddler to explore different patterns and textures, a rattle, a squeaker, little ribbon tags, and a high contrast b&w back. You have touch, sight and sound exploration for baby all in one toy. They are made of sturdy and quality materials making for a durable toy that will keep your baby entertained for a long time. I highly recommend it! If you like Jacques, I also recommend Fifi the firefly (though my mom calls it Betty the butterfly).

I used the have this dangling from her carseat, but it is a tad large, so I relocated it to her evenflow megasaucer. She just stared at it on her carseat (she was younger then though, now she's 4 months old), but now have smaller toys for that. So have this attached to her evenflow megasaucer via the chain link toys for infants and this makes the toy easily reachable plus won't fall on the ground when she drops it..it just dangles over the side (so it stays clean). She gets so angry when this thing falls too. She loves chewing the "feathers". She just goes to town and this toy gets drenched!! Cute toy and the hook is awesome so you can attach it to anything really. I have other toys that are easily reachable on the megasaucer as well, but it seems like this is her favorite..I think it is the crinkle sound that she is drawn to. This will keep her busy in her megasaucer for a while, so I can get stuff done; she's a needy baby too. Anyways..cool toy, lots of colors and textures and you can hook to anything.

it's been some time since i have been thinking about this review but i just can't find the right words to describe this little guy...so i'll just go with "WOW"! i have had my fair share of "what was i thinkin when i bought this"...but this aint one of 'em! my son absolutely loves this toy. matter of fact it is the first toy i introduced to him once he started reaching for stuff and now it goes every where he does :) it's one of the few things that can keep him occupied and interested for a prolonged period and for any mom that is a wonderful thing ;) Lamaze certainly did their research before creating this lil guy: size, weight, colors, entertainment...all the factors of a wonderful present. (i don't attach him to anything i leave him as a hand held in the cradle or in the car) the only flaw i found with the design is that after a few days of nibbling the feet started to separate and soon became two sets of three layers-of which the middle one was fraying like crazy-so i removed it completely and just left the two flaps of felt(?) so fascinated was i with Jacque that i got Freddie as a backup in case i had to wash Jacque or forgot to tag him along-but i must say that i prefer Jacque for the simple reason that he is smaller and much more manageable for a kid who is not yet sitting up to play: the click clack rings on Freddie make him a little "risky"- i am somehow afraid they will hit my baby in his eyes once he lifts the toy over his face-not like baby minds! he loves 'em both- guess he doesn't know what 'danger' is just yet :-P

I'm an avid review reader, and most of my purchases are based on strong, high numbers of positive reviews. Especially since I'm a Grandma and wow have things changed in the babies dept since I was there. I'm blown away by all the nifty items that make life easier for Mom and Dad and grandparents. And fun for the kids. But having a first grandchild who prolly has way more toys than should be allowed (clearing throat since the 3 sets of grandparents are the culprits here) I've also watched my first grandchild choose what is of repeat interest to her and those toys that she gives a shot, then bans to the bottom of the toy chest never to be seen again. She had a Lamaze toy very similar to this one when a baby and it was her favorite when she was just learning to control her fingers and tiny hands between 5-6 mos. It still makes an occasional appearance at age 3, it just brings a smile to her face when she runs into it again. Now that's a great toy/product in my book! The construction is excellent, such a concern with babies and some toys that are made outside of USA. This product is made in China. The Lamaze name, in the past, has never disappointed us, and it is true in this product as well. The wings "crackle" with paper inside, there are different textures and a mirror to catch tiny eyes, ribbons with knots to grab, and a squeaky to discover. The clip on top makes it portable on infant carriers, car seats, play mats, jumpers......it went everywhere my grand daughter went, so expecting same with my new grandson.

What I think is really great is that the peacock has very large eyes. Research shows that babies like faces and eyes and I heard that Lamaze increased the size of the eyes on their toys. I like Lamaze toys. This peacock is brightly coloured on the front, black and white in different patterns on the back and each 'feather' has a different texture such as silky, furry or courderoy. It makes a crinkly, crunchy sound when you touch it which is interesting to my baby. It has a squeaky button too which will be better when my baby is older. A couple of weeks ago I started holding up the peacock in front of my baby and describing the colours and textures to him (as talking and describing is good for babies) and I can spend almost 5min talking about this toy as there is so much variety! Now he can hold it himself and bring it to his mouth. I am online now writing this review as I am about to buy one for my friend's baby. Edit: Baby is now 8mths old and still loves Jacques. It keeps him occupied in the car really well. I definitely recommend this toy.

My four month old LOVES this toy. Her eyes lit up as I opened it from the box and she has been just as eager to play with it since. He (Jacques) usually goes straight into my baby's mouth. She will play with him a lot longer than any other toy we have. I love all the bright colors and textures and noises...as a mom, I love the developmentally appropriate aspects of him. We especially like how he crinkles. I love that he's got the link too so I can attach him to the diaper bag on the go or to a strap on her high chair during dinner time. Great toy!! (Watch for small pieces that could come off though...might make me more nervous as my baby gets old enough to play a little more rough with him.) Seriously, a wonderful toy!! Highly recommend getting a Jacques!

Beautiful toy, my 5m old baby plays with it, it is engaging enough for him, but not as some other toys/things. The only problem the toy is not washable!! Only surface cleaning.

Well, this has got to be the best use of a fiver I've ever spent! As soon as I got it out the box my little girl (who was about 3 months old) stared at it and wanted to grab it! It's her favourite toy at home, had so much abuse from all the pulling, scrunching, chewing, throwing about, etc and it still looks good. She loves the bright colours and the different textures on the toy, very good for her developmental skills. The back of the wings are patterned black and white which she will happily stare at for several minutes. Because it's so brightly coloured it helps her with her hand-eye coordination with grabbing certain parts. A must-have for any baby, both me and my daughter love this toy and so glad I bought it. The best part for me is that this toy can be put in the washing machine - so convenient as it gets so much use it's starting to look a bit iffy but a wash will bring it straight back to life. A month on and she is still as much in love with it as before! Lamaze toys are good for babies as we bought the cone one with a mirror and soft handle on it and she loved that too but this toy gets so much more attention now!
