Orchid Potting Bark

I use this to mix into my aroid mix for my monsteras and tropical aroids, they love it so much and the size of these pieces are giant. There wasn’t too much dust but there was a bit. It’s great quality although the consistency in the sizes of the pieces isn’t very great. For the most part the bag consists of your bigger pieces, but like a bag of chips there’s crumbs at the bottom of the bag. But that’s literally not a problem for me lol I could care less about having smaller pieces. It’s a very good amount for what you pay and I’ll definitely be buying more. It’s suitable for really any plant, as long as you water correctly and still have some type of soil.

This was recommended to me from a friend. I am trying it for the first time.

I gave this 4 stars because the bag was way smaller than I thought I was going to be for this price. That is obviously my fault for not double checking the size of the bag. But I’m still disappointed. It is honestly only enough for one medium size plant.

My orchid popped right back to life and I even used this to repot an African violet!

I’ve purchased this twice, although the bag is small; however, my orchids love it!! And I do not have a green thumb for orchids!

The bark is absolutely not moisture-retentive. I soaked it in water for 6 days before repotting the orchid. By the second day, the bark started drying out, and by the third day, it was completely dry. Just a waste of money.

The size of the potting mix not equal to the price.. too expensive and not enough to feel two pots
