Solaray dao is worth a try but is EXPENSIVE.
Seems to improve the histamine issue No side effects so far.

Great results! Pills are not large, no taste. So happy with the results. Horrible itchy Hives have stopped since these have been taken.

Works wonders for MCAS symptoms
MCAS friends, this is a complete GAME CHANGER!! Please try this if you are reactionary at mealtime or experience bloating after eating. It squashes mast cells over reactions to histamines before they can begin, vs medicating afterwards. I am SO grateful my doc advised of this option!

Good value.
These are great for the price! They are not enteric coated, and very strong, which sets my MCAS flares off if taken as-is. But for the price, it's a good deal. So I open the capsules, and divide the contents into 3 doses, and then put those in enteric coated capsules. This works great, I get 90 capsules, 20,000 HDU each, enteric coated, to reach the small intestine intact. Most brands are not enteric coated, and without enteric coating, DAO does not work as well. Doesn't work....it may work for you but not me
I was recommended to get any DAO enzyme pills for my histamine. I followed the instructions to take a pill in 3 times a day. Gotta eat low histamine meals, these pills gave me weird side effects like possible heartburn. I never ate any high histamines because I had to prevent getting a rash or inflammatory skin, plus some food can be tricky if fresh protein like fish, chicken but those are not fresh from what I ate from public restaurants. I took a pill before a meal, of course, I waited 30 minutes to develop the pill before eating out. Those pills didn't work for me at all. Searching else.

Great choice
Like all Solaray products this was excellent, price was great compared to other products which in this case is more important because DAO is pretty expensive
