Laifen SE 2 Diffuser Hair Dryer for Women, 21.5m/s Air Speed, Purple

I've been using the Laifen Hair Dryer SE 2 for a few weeks, and it's been a great upgrade from my previous dryer. The high-speed motor dries my hair much faster than I expected, cutting down my styling time significantly without exposing my hair to excessive heat. One of the biggest differences I've noticed is how smooth and less frizzy my hair looks after drying. The negative ion technology seems to help reduce flyaways and leaves my hair feeling softer and shinier. I also appreciate how lightweight the dryer is, making it comfortable to use even during longer styling sessions. The noise level is lower than most hair dryers I've owned, which makes the experience much more pleasant. The magnetic attachment is easy to switch on and off, and the controls are simple to use. Overall, this dryer combines speed, convenience, and hair-friendly performance in a sleek package. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful yet gentle hair dryer.

I did a lot of research and comparisons before finally choosing this Laifen hair dryer. So glad I did! My hair is naturally curly, on the fine side and rests below my shoulders. I was looking for a diffuser with a few specific features. This unit met all of my requirements. First it has ionic technology which helps fight against static electricity in the hair and encourages shine. It has 3 temperature settings, cool, warm and hot. It was one of the few dryers I found in this price range that offered a cool setting. I have found the low heat and cool settings to be exactly what I need to dry and set my curls. The high setting is too hot for my thin hair, but I'm sure those with thick hair would appreciate it. There are 2 air flow settings low/high. This unit packs alot of power, drying my hair quickly on the low setting. The control buttons are very intuitive and easy to use. Some mentioned the buttons were easy to accidentally hit while holding the unit. I have not experienced an issue with that. It is comfortable to hold and is light in weight. The dryer is not as quiet as I was hoping for, more of a high pitch sound but not overwhelming. I appreciate the extra long power cord that gives me more styling ability (think bending over and hovering) and access to more power outlets. There is a handy adjustable rubber band attached to the cord to hold it in place for storage or to shorten the cord while in use. The air intake is on the bottom of the handle. The cover is magnetic giving easy access to clean it. The unit comes with two styling attachments, one for straightening and the other a diffuser. Personally I can only speak of my experience with the diffuser. It has a magnetic quick connect feature that holds securely while in use. The diffuser head measures 5" in diameter. There are 18 finger vents in all, 12 along the outer circumference and 6 more more on the inside. In addition there are several small holes throughout. I utilize the hover method to dry my hair using the low flow and low heat settings. It dries my hair quickly without disturbing the curl pattern. I gently nest the ends into the diffuser bowl to finish. I never imagined spending this much money on a hair dryer, but quickly learned the Laifen was priced very competitively among professional dryers. My experience so far is total love!!

Does what it says! Just go for it without a second thought. I have very sensitive scalp and also my hair doesn’t even dry quickly it’s takes atleast an hour for me to flow dry my hair with gaps as I can’t keep my hair exposed for the hot air for long period of time. But this one oh my god it literally takes me only 10-15 min to 80-90% dry my hair and without making my sensitive scalp irritated or even drying out my hair. It’s worth every penny. Before I used to hate and postpone my hair wash as my hair won’t dry quickly now I am really excited to wash my hair as this hair dryer will dry my hair super quickly. It’s easy to use, less noise and less weight. I would use it in the warm and high speed mode. The size is also good. Just go for it!!

This hair dryer is amazing! I had long hair that I recently cut to shoulder length and with layers and this hairdryer with the diffuser dries it faster than any hair dryer ever has. AND it brings the curl out to give me a short wave/curl style! The magnetized diffuser really holds. It heats fast and the three temperatures are great. I especially like the rotating heat levels! This dryer is a bit more expensive than ones I have purchased in the past, but it is well worth the money.

Good things: long cord, lightweight, great power, very quiet Bad things: Unless you have a hand the size of a child it is impossible to not cover the air intake area. Holding the dryer further up to avoid the air intake makes it easy to accidentally hit the buttons that control the air temp & speed

Absolutely an amazing blow dryer. I have thin hair somewhat damaged and this blow dryer with the 3 different heat settings with one touch of the button helps my hair not to dry too fast and help it dry without signs of damage. Love how the attachments latch on. I’ve sent the link to all of my friends! A must and worth the price!

I’ve used my Dyson hairdryer for over 10 years, and while it still works, it’s definitely showing its age — loose parts, worn finish, and honestly, now that I’m retired, I don’t feel like spending a few hundred dollars just to carry a Dyson. I decided to try the Laifen SE 2 Diffuser Hair Dryer (Matte White), and I’m genuinely surprised at how well it performs. In several ways, it actually feels better than my Dyson. The blow‑dry speed is incredible — less than 3 minutes for my medium‑long fine hair. The packaging was premium, the matte white finish feels great in the hand, and the overall build quality is impressive. I also love the clear red, orange, and green indicator lights that show different drying power levels. It’s simple, intuitive, and surprisingly refined. It’s also lightweight and very easy to hold, which makes drying more comfortable. The power cord is long, giving you plenty of flexibility if your outlet is far from your mirror. It’s easy to carry around, and the power plug includes a built‑in surge protector too, which is a thoughtful feature you rarely see at this price point. For the cost, this hairdryer delivers outstanding performance without the “Dyson tax.” I’m honestly so happy with it and really hope it lasts another 10 years like my old one did. Highly recommended.

I love the lighting as an indicator of the heat. I like that it is lightweight. I like that even the hottest temperature does not burn my scalp. I like that it is more compact. However, what I don’t like is the way the handle is shaped It makes it difficult to hold and difficult to direct because there is no adjustment of the handle to fit the hand. It’s just a cylinder. I understand that it’s part of the modern vibe and that it makes it look more forward looking. But it is harder to hold, and it is harder to change direction and it is harder to change temperature. The controls are on the outside of the handle and because the handle is not contour to fit the hand this makes it harder to change. I’m going to keep the product, but my hope is that the manufacturer will change these critical features so that we are not fatigued every time we use this thing because it does have many positive aspects. For the price, I expected some thing more customer oriented. I think it’s like buying the sofa from some modern outlet and it looks great, but you can’t sit in it for more than 15 minutes without being uncomfortable. That is this blow dryer. I’m sure it’s better for my hair, but it makes my hands ache by the time. I am finished because I have to grip the handle so hard. Manufacture, please modify the handle and please move the controls to the inside of the handle where almost all blow dryers have their controls. Why? Because it makes it easier for the user. Maybe you only tried this out on 20 something but I gotta tell you middle-age folks and probably seniors will find this a challenge. The only saving grace is that. It is so lightweight. Again for the price I expected better. Clearly, I saw the description and clearly I saw the image of the product, but it’s one thing to see it demonstrated by a Hair professional. It’s another to try to use it yourself. Fix the handle in the controls. You owe it to your customers.

Love love love the child safe button! Keeps my blonde hair so healthy and shiny. Best feature ever made ! So gentle on my scalp, hands and hair! Love everything about this. The temp cycle feature is also amazing ! So useful to keep things from burning . Too bad is not dual voltage ! Had to get two for my travels . Thank you Laifen for making affordable quality!

It’s so hard finding a big cup and I struggled figuring the size of this. It’s 5.5 inches diffuser for anyone like me who was looking. Cute, decent size diffuser. Love it
