With Prime delivery, it arrived the next day — as always, perfectly packaged and well protected. Right out of the box, the build quality impressed me. The body feels solid and durable, not flimsy like some of the cheaper alternatives I’ve owned in the past. I went for the orange version, which not only looks smart but also makes it easy to spot in a busy kitchen. When I unfolded the temperature probe, I could feel how smooth and secure the hinge mechanism was. The instant activation and bright backlight make it clear this is a well-engineered bit of kit. Within just a few seconds, it displayed the ambient room temperature, accurate to the decimal, and ready for action. I particularly like the ambidextrous auto-rotating display, which means no matter which hand you use, the numbers are always upright — perfect for quick checks while cooking. And the waterproof design is a big bonus, as it can be rinsed under the tap without worry (something my old thermometer definitely couldn’t handle!). An excellent meat thermometer. It is quite fast, but not the quickest. The magnet does hold on to appropriate metal services. It’s easy to use and the instructions are clear- it has a calibration process so can be reset. Also mine was set to Fahrenheit not Celsius, so had to change that on arrival because Fahrenheit makes no sense to me. It probably gets its best value for money from being water resistant - I use it when barbecuing or grilling outside and have tragically lost a few cheaper meat thermometers by leaving them out in the rain. I haven’t had to mourn this one yet so it’s a major bonus. The rotating/flipping display is also handy because you can’t forget to hold it the right way up.

Really good accurate thermometer which produces consistent cooking results. Magnet is great as can be attached to extraction hood as saves liking in drawer.

I bought this to help me improve my seitan recipes - because I wanted to try and keep the temperature between 80-90 degrees Celsius (over that and moisture can to steam, making bubbles and changing the texture). Too often things started out well but only when the cooking has finished I found the texture was too 'bready'. Using this probe I can check what is actually going on inside the seitan as I go along. I can see if the heat from the oven or water it is stewing in has penetrated deeply into the centre or not and adjust the cooking time or temp to suit. It has helped me avoid undercooking (soft & gooey) and over cooking (hard and bready). This has helped improve the results for me, so I'm happy with it! Easy to use, switches off when folded - takes up hardly any room in a draw.

Great piece of kit for the kitchen. Very good quality, accurate & in my humble opinion best in its class on the market.

If you have an aquarium then this is the best thermometer I've found, it's easy to use, easy to switch on and off, you just open and close the probe. It's accurate to 0.5C which is precisely what you need with an aquarium when you don't want your fresh water being more than 1 degree different. And, of course, it's waterproof. My other fall-back thermometers weren't, one broke and the other fogged up so I just bought a new one before I broke two.

Ich habe mir das Thermometer gekauft, um beim Kochen und gelegentlich auch beim Grillen die Temperatur besser im Blick zu haben. Die Bedienung ist unkompliziert und nach dem Ausklappen der Sonde ist das Gerät sofort einsatzbereit. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass die Temperatur sehr schnell angezeigt wird. Das Display ist groß, gut ablesbar und die Hintergrundbeleuchtung ist praktisch, wenn die Lichtverhältnisse in der Küche nicht optimal sind. Das Thermometer liegt angenehm in der Hand und wirkt insgesamt solide verarbeitet. Nach dem Zusammenklappen lässt es sich platzsparend verstauen. Praktisch finde ich auch, dass man die Sonde einfach ausklappt und nicht erst lange Einstellungen vornehmen muss. Bisher habe ich es für Fleisch, Backwaren und verschiedene warme Speisen verwendet und die gemessenen Temperaturen wirkten nachvollziehbar und konstant. Für den Alltag in der Küche eine hilfreiche Ergänzung, die die Zubereitung deutlich einfacher macht.

È estremamente rapido e preciso: in pochi secondi fornisce la temperatura esatta, permettendo di cuocere carne, pesce e barbecue al punto giusto senza margine di errore. Il display digitale è chiaro e facile da leggere, anche in condizioni di poca luce, e la sonda in acciaio inox sembra solida e di ottima qualità. Molto comoda anche la funzione di spegnimento automatico, che aiuta a risparmiare la batteria. È semplice da usare, leggero e pratico da pulire, perfetto sia per chi cucina ogni giorno sia per gli appassionati di grigliate. Considerando il rapporto qualità-prezzo, lo consiglio vivamente a chi cerca un termometro affidabile e funzionale per la cucina.

Excellent ! L'appareil est top parce qu'il a un détecteur de mouvement, ce qui permet d'adapter automatiquement le sens de l'affichage. Mais ça permet aussi de détecter lorsqu'on ne s'en sert plus, et donc il s'éteint après 1 min 30 tout seul, même si on ne le replie pas. Perso, je préfère le laisser s'éteindre seul. Et j'apprécie beaucoup de ne pas avoir obligatoirement à le replier pour l'éteindre. Et encore un avantage, il est alimenté par une pile AAA, pas des piles boutons qui coutent très cher et qui sot toujours pénible à mettre.
