Does the spray moisture kick conditioner just coat your hair or actually repair it?

I have used this for years. It does lightly coat hair. I have thick coarse unruly hair. I cannot live without it. My hair does not get frizzy now. Since our hair grows and changes, I can say mildly repairs. If I run out, I feel like my hair is not right. I wish Schwarzkopf would sell a larger size!

Can you use it by itself, or do i have to precondition?

If you have fine hair this can substitute for a cream conditioner. It can also be used after a cream conditioner for added moisture.

How to open this spray?

I had the same problem! I had to twist and then pry it open in order for the spray to work. Poor design, to say the least. I did manage it after many tries, because the product itself is good. If all else fails, just take the spray top off and pout it on by hand.

I received my conditioner, and the liquid inside is visibly separated. Is this normal?

Yes..it can separate. It's normal. Just shake it up.
