Good size, easy to use
The third generation gone is quite nice and somewhat smaller so works well. The extra 2 heads are also very nice to have. It charges quickly and hold the charge for quite some time. It is also easy to travel with given its size.

Powerful and Compact! No Hand Fatigue!
I upgraded to the TheraGun Mini (3rd Generation) after loving the brand's bigger models, and wow—this thing is a game-changer for on-the-go relief. It's incredibly compact (30% smaller and lighter than earlier versions), fits perfectly in my palm with its ergonomic rounded grip, and slips right into my gym bag, carry-on, or even a large purse without adding bulk. The travel lock feature is genius—no accidental activations during flights or commutes! The percussive therapy delivers real results: scientifically proven to boost circulation, melt away tension, and ease daily aches, stiffness, and stress. It has three powerful speeds (1750, 2100, 2400 PPM) with easy one-button control and clear LED indicators. The battery lasts up to 180 minutes on a single USB-C charge—plenty for multiple sessions without recharging mid-trip. And it's quieter than previous minis, so I can use it at home or in the office without drawing attention. The three included attachments are spot-on: the Dampener is gentle on sensitive areas like my neck and shoulders, the Standard Ball hits larger muscle groups for full-body relief, and the Thumb attachment is killer for targeting stubborn knots in my lower back and calves after workouts or long days standing. It handles up to 20 lbs of pressure without losing power or depth—feels professional-grade despite the tiny size. I've noticed faster recovery from workouts, less post-flight stiffness, and way fewer tension headaches since using it daily. Build quality is premium Therabody all the way: durable, sleek (I got the black one—looks sharp), and comes with a soft travel case for protection. If you want effective, portable massage therapy without lugging around a full-size gun, this is it. Compact, powerful, long-lasting battery, and genuinely helpful for pain relief anywhere. Absolutely worth every penny—5 stars and highly recommended!

Theragun quality in a travel size
If you are looking for a small massager that can give your muscles a work out, Theragun Mini could be your answer. It provide pain relief in a small size. After 2 weeks, I still have to use the broader tip, but I really needed this deep work. There are two more attachments to use to adjust your massages and it has three speeds with an easy push on/off button and speed change. It fits well in the hand. It is a little heavy, but I'm sure it needs the weight to work well. I have no real issue holding it, as it offsets some of the heaviness by being supported by the muscles and holding it straight up and down. Your muscles receive percussion up and down motion, plus vibration that does go deep. In certain places, I can feel it working adjacent muscles too. It has really helped a chronic knot in my neck. It also helps blood flow in the area you are working. There is no heat setting, but your muscles will build up some heat while massaging them. There can be some bouncing if you get over more bony spots or you aren't holding the gun straight up and down. I have found less bouncing in those areas if I increase the speed and work beside, rather than over those areas. It has a nice case, but all the tips don't fit inside. Since it is considered a travel massager, a case that holds everything would be beneficial. There is a charging cord. A color coded light lets you know when it is ready, working, or needs charging. The light flashes while charging, going steady when fully charged. It charges up quickly. I didn't check the time, but the battery lasted through several sessions. I've only had it 2 weeks, so I have no idea on durability, but Theragun has been around as a quality product for a ling time. I expect a long usage.

Unmatched Power in a Compact, Travel-Friendly Design!
* Performance: The 3rd generation of the Theragun Mini delivers incredible muscle relief without the bulk of a full-sized massager. Despite its compact size, the motor provides a deep, deep-tissue treatment that effectively relieves tension and speeds up muscle recovery after tough workouts. It runs significantly quieter than older models while maintaining impressive power. * Pros: - Ultra-Portable: The ergonomic, lightweight shape fits easily into a gym bag, backpack, or carry-on, making it perfect for travel or on-the-go recovery. - Whisper Quiet: Therabody has noticeably improved the noise level in this generation, allowing you to use it at the office or while watching TV without a loud buzzing sound. - Smart Connectivity: It connects seamlessly with the Therabody app via Bluetooth, offering customized routines and guided sessions tailored to your specific recovery needs. * Cons: - Because it's a mini version, it doesn't come with as many attachment heads as the full-sized models, though the included ones cover almost all major muscle groups perfectly. * Bottom Line: This is hands-down the best portable massage gun on the market. It offers premium build quality, smart features, and the legendary Theragun power in a pocket-sized package. It is worth every penny for athletes or anyone dealing with daily muscle tightness!

Best Massage Gun Experience – Compact, Powerful, and Worth Every Penny!
The TheraGun Mini Massage Gun is hands down the best massage experience I’ve had from a massage gun. Despite its small size, the performance is outstanding. It delivers powerful, deep tissue relief that truly penetrates muscle knots and tension, making it incredibly effective for post-workout recovery or relieving everyday stress. The percussion strength is impressive for such a compact device, providing a professional-quality massage that rivals much larger and more expensive models. What I love most is its portability—small enough to fit in a bag, so I can take it anywhere. Whether I’m at the gym, traveling, or just relaxing at home, it’s always within reach for quick relief. The build quality is excellent, and it’s easy to use with a simple, ergonomic design that feels great in hand. Well worth the price for the quality and convenience it offers. If you’re looking for a reliable, powerful, and portable massage gun, I highly recommend the TheraGun Mini. This little device is a game changer and a must-have for anyone serious about muscle recovery or relaxation!

The extra power made the difference
Came for the heat but stayed for the additional power. Already had a Mini 2 and it was working well. Tore hamstring in 2022 and it starts to get tight as running miles ramp up. Wanted to try the heat feature of the Mini Plus. Ultimately, the extra power is why I kept it. Would give it 3.5 stars because the extra bulk is cumbersome compared to Mini 2, the heat is just ok, and battery life is half of the Mini 2. Pros: The extra power is noticeable and helpful for my hamstring. Working in for all of my pre-activity warmups. Cons: Battery life is really bad compared to Mini 2. Much heavier than Mini 2. Heat feature is meh.

Perfect portability without compromise
The quality of a Theragun motor really makes a difference as the vibration doesn’t leave you feeling itchy. It’s small but mighty and the shape makes it super easy to use on yourself.

Why it's better than the generics
I bought a generic 'Aldom' unit for $40 and the Theragun for $170 off Amazon. I wanted to know whether it was worth spending more. The Aldom's head had a short amplitude, must've been under 10mm, it barely felt like a vibration, and would lose power pushing into the muscle. The motor was quiet because it barely did anything. I could feel my hand vibrating as it held the gun, but barely anything on the muscle. The build quality as trash as well, I suspect a lot of the reviews for the generics are fake. The Theragun had a real punch to it, and would keep a consistent pushing force and had a greater amplitude. The soft touch plastic, curves for handling, weight and strength of the material all felt nice. However, it'll be some time to figure out whether the Theragun Mini for warming up for a run is worth it.
