Wakacon Vanuatu Waka Kava Powder - Premium Noble Kava from Vanuatu (16 oz)

This has become our staple for hand-mixed kava. We’ve tried a few different brands and keep coming back to Wakacon Vanuatu Waka because the quality and consistency are always on point. The grind works well for traditional kneading, strains easily, and produces a strong, smooth shell without being overly muddy. The effects feel clean and relaxing, and it has that classic earthy kava taste you expect from a good Vanuatu waka. We use this regularly for homemade prep and it hasn’t disappointed. If you’re making kava the traditional way and want something reliable with good potency, this is a great choice. Definitely staying stocked in our house.

This product works exactly as it should. Normally I buy Kava from independent websites, but I figured I'd give it a shot here and I am glad I did. Faster shipping, equal effects, and essentially the same price. Kava is a calming product, and I tried it this morning and it did exactly what other brands I have bought do. It is not intoxicating in the same way that alcohol is, but it is strongly anti-anxiety. I would recommend that you don't drink it too often as Kava is pretty hard on the body, but once or twice a day may help curve cravings for other more addictive substances, or address anxiety in a much more natural way. Euphoria is mild with most Kava including this one, but noticable. The taste is awful to me, but I feel that way about all Kava.

I usually get FVK Vanuatu but it was going to arrive way too late so I ordered this in the mean time. I would say it's not QUITE as strong but better than the KWK stuff I've gotten in the past. What I really like about it is it seems to be much more relaxing than the FVK stuff. FVK seems to be really strong but also makes me a bit too wired. I think FVK would be better during the day and this is better for night time. It's also a bit cheaper too.

As I opened the package, I was hit with a scent I’ve never smelled before, I can only describe it as moldy soil. I researched on how to prepare it, read the directions twice, and prepped my first Kava Kocktail. I’ve never eaten dirt willingly, but if I had to describe the taste, I’d say it tasted like bitter dirt. Warm bitter dirt. Is it worth the effort of mixing, kneading, and choking down this earthy tasting concoction? If you can stomach it, I say yes, you will drift away into Kava Kava land, where all is well with the world. Also, the numb tongue is an interesting feature, reminiscent of my days clubbing in the late 70’s. Kava on!

I tried this product a few times before accepting that the quality is poor. With good kava you experience euphoria, pleasant joy — this kava made me anxious and jittery. I had to ask customer service for a refund. I’ll stick with the brand I knew and trusted even if it’s a little more expensive and not sold on Amazon.

I think it’s good for the money, it’s strong and very potent, and smells very woody with a hint of cinnamon. It does not taste like cinnamon at all though, but that’s to be expected with kava powder. It made me feel rejuvenated when I drank it and the effects lasted for 30 minutes or so, with no noticeable come down. It should be noted that kava produces a “reverse tolerance”, where the effects become more noticeable the longer you drink it, so that may be of concern to those just starting out or who are already sensitive to its effects.

Flavor is on the better end of peppery mud puddle. The vibe on this is really good. Type of kava i chug and then walk outside and just appreciate how nice nature is. Evaporates anxiety and very chill and talkative effect. My favorite from online so far.
