It can’t work without power,it DOES NOT have the battery,not portable,You must connect to the plug/power to keep it work.After connected the power,you Must slide the back's ON/OFF Button,to keep the button under "ON" status.

The CD Player stops playing after a few seconds each time. is there a connection issue?

If your discs are DVD discs, or discs formats are not supported, or some incorrect mode changes,it can't work,please make sure the modes is cd modes and the formats are correct.

Without playing CD spins, it will never truly play. I tried multiple CDs.

You need to remove the cardboard in the cd player first,or it won't play, and make sure it under cd mode.
