Taste and Quality is amazing. The lava cake is easy to bake and is functional because the kit comes with pans to bake the lava cake in. The price is good and the cakes aren't dry they come out moist and flavorful. The cakes are a pretty good size per serving as well!

Oh my goodness, but 100 of these!! This is so stinking good I could eat the whole pan. I would give it 100 stars if I could. It does require a stick of butter and a pack of cream cheese, so you will have to buy that in addition, but it is so delicious. I crush up extra Oreos and put on top but you don’t have to do that it’s really good without doing that.

Don't bother! While the taste wasn't bad, it wasn't exactly great either. purely "Meh". Not oreo at all (other than the small handful of crumbled oreo on the top). The brownie batter barely - and I mean BARELY covered the bottom of a regular 9 inch round cake pan. That was with spending several minutes trying to spread it out. Then the cheesecake portion poured over the top spread so thin over the top I wouldn't even need to follow through with the step of adding spoonfuls of the brownie batter onto the top to create the marbled batter. The second night we ate this I added some rediwhip and chocolate syrup to a serving (much like Cheesecake factory might do to their cheesecakes) and it made it passable.

It comes with the little ramekins you need to bake them in so you don't need to have that on hand already like you would for most boxed cake mixes. I'd never made lava cake before and this made the first time super easy - the kids helped and we all had a great time. You do need to be ready to eat these right after they are done so that the lava part works when you cut into them. I guess if they cool too much you can reheat them so the center turns back into a liquid but we didn't want to deal with that ; we made them right before dessert time and enjoyed them right away. Will definitely make Lava cake again.

Made this last night. For what you get, it's pricey. Makes a small 8x8 pan. Plus it requires two eggs, butter, and 8 ounces of cream cheese. Tastes okay, but not really like cheesecake.
