Sports Research® Collagen Peptides Protein Powder, Vanilla (16.93oz)

I’ve been using this collagen for over a year now and keep coming back to it. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my hair, nails, and skin. It mixes pretty well, and I usually add it to my morning coffee since the vanilla flavor goes really well with it. It’s an easy way to get my collagen in every day, and I’m really happy with it.

I am so happy I decided to try this collagen peptide powder- because the vanilla is probably the best I have ever tasted! My usual go-to has been Vital Proteins but this one was one sale so I took a chance. I’ve used a few Sports Research supplements (fish oil, phytoceramides are both top notch) so I hoped their collagen would be as good as their other products. And yes, it did not disappoint! Powder dissolves easily in cool water with no clumps at all, plus the flavor is a much more natural and subtle vanilla than Vital Proteins. I compared both side by side and couldn’t believe how chemical and artificial my previous powder tasted. Turns out VP uses Maltodextrin in their products which is one of the worst additives and probably accounts for the chemical taste. This one does not. I love that this product comes in a container- not a cardboard tub that’s impossible to open without a knife (I’m looking at you VP!). Plus, it comes with an actual scooper to make dosing easy. Trust me, I’ve tried a whole slew of brands and very few include a scoop! I guess the only downside to the plastic container is that well, it’s plastic. If you are trying to cut down on microplastics then this one may not be for you- but I still think the added Maltodextrin in VP is worse than the small amount of microplastics in this one. The types of collagen are the same to VP (type 1 and 3) so I don’t expect to see or feel much of a difference since I’ve been taking collagen for a while now. I do think this tub should last a little longer though considering that 1 scoop is around 11g of collagen and each scoop of VP’s was 5g. Bottom line… highly recommend and will definitely add to my subscribe and save!

I have been on this Collagen for over 2 years and I don’t miss a day. I put it in my coffee and I love the creaminess and taste. I am 67 years old and have tried many different kinds and this one by far is the best! I have had so much new hair growth that I have a full set of bangs and my hair dresser can’t get over all the new hair that comes in when I see her every 6 weeks. It doesn’t happen over night you have to stick to it. It took about six months before I really noticed things happening. Don’t give up. I really believe it’s the best I’ve ever used and I have no intention of going off of it.

Does taste bitter in coffee, delicious in some English breakfast tea. Dissolves easily in hot liquid.

I will preface and say I already knew about the product as I have been using the dark chocolate for about a month. I started using the vanilla to mix with my Oats Overnight shakes that I make. Due to the consistency of the oats, the solubility of the collagen isn't ad important, however, it does dissolve enough that it doesn't stand out from my shake and provides a really creamy base flavor for them. I have a really good regime for my skin, so I am not sure how much help they are yet, but I haven't had any weird side effects, no gastrointestinal issues (I am a slight intolerance to dairy and GERD), and no weird aftertaste. All in all, I would recommend them as a supplement, and would like to see more overtime how they improve my joint health and skin overtime.

At this point of time I'm on my 4th container of the vanilla collagen powder and still on my 1st of the chocolate collagen powder and they're absolutely fantastic in terms of ingredients, taste, and general value I personally prefer the taste of the vanilla powder significantly more even as a chocolate lover (and the vanilla has 10 less calories per scoop if you care), but do note in the picture I've attached that the chocolate version is actually bigger than the vanilla for some reason (by several ounces) so the chocolate will technically be the better bang for your buck In terms of benefits and how well it works; I started taking this to help support my joints since I lift and it seems to help with my recovery (I usually have a scoop of the vanilla with my coffee in the morning and a scoop of the chocolate powder with my whey protein). As a guy I have no clue if it's helping my skin or hair, but for the women I will say it's made my nails ridiculously strong. I've always had healthy nails but they're absurdly strong now, the pics I included are after growing them out for exactly one month and averaging about 1.4 scoops of collagen powder a day (I have also been using this for about half a year now too). It doesn't have added sugar or dairy which makes it a healthy alternative to creamers and as someone lactose intolerant it won't mess with your stomach at all. Technically if you want the most collagen per dollar spent (outside of getting it from eating foods that contain it) there are collagen supplements pills but I really enjoy the powder for my coffee and protein shakes and prefer them over supplements I've tried Overall 10/10, I've bought at least 5 containers now and even started trying their microgreens powder which was a smidge pricey but is also a 10/10 product

The flavor is nice and it dissolves great but it’s not sweet enough for my morning coffee unfortunately. I have to add sugar which I’m trying to avoid.

Mild, pleasant flavor (vanilla version). Joints feeling better and no more itchy skin. Does take a little work to get it to dissolve in a cold liquid.

Easy to dissolve and has a mild vanilla taste which is great added to coffee

This has a great flavor as such supplements go, not tasting like a bunch of artificial sugars, but more like actual vanilla. Also seems much better value than others.

This is my second time buying this collagen powder, and I can see myself continuing to buy it. I love that I can mix it into my coffee. The vanilla flavor gives my coffee a really nice taste—so good! I also like adding it to shakes, and it mixes easily. I originally bought it because I wanted to add collagen to my routine, especially as we get older and want to take better care of ourselves. I like that it’s grass-fed, and the size of the container is perfect for me. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and really enjoy using
