This is the One!
This is the best laptop you can get if you want a sturdy, well built, portable, yet with a really big screen, laptop! The performance is great so far, the keyboard is very nice and the trackpad is awesome! I really think this should just be the benchmark for any windows laptop! If the price is too high for you, try the lower configuration with the AI7 processor, Bestbuy had it cheaper and for me the lower processor is just as good for my work needs. It took the industry years to get to where I always dreamed, but ASUS finally made it happen, lol I had multiple Dell XPS laptops over the years but you always seem to compromise something for something else, I had the Microsoft surface and I thought they will finally compete with Apple on hardware, but I was wrong! It was heavy and the screen bezel was so big for such an expensive laptop, it just made no sense! You'll love this ASUS, guaranteed! And this is not a paid ad, I don't work for the company, and it's just my personal review!

Missing a backlight keyboard
I'm generally pleased with this, but I wish I'd realized that the keyboard isn't backlit. Every other laptop I've had had a backlit keyboard. I purchased a USB light to go over the top and illuminate the keyboard. But that has it's drawbacks too as it then means I only have one USB free. So if a backlit keyboard is important, this is not the laptop for you. Also, the description gave the impression it had a fingerprint sensor. Mine doesn't.

BLUE SCREEEN OF DEATH ON FIRST BOOT UP!! COULD NOT REPAIR ITSELF.
Frustrating... I was looking forward to my first Asus computer after my very expensive Dell died about a month out of warranty. I powered it up for the first time and about half way through the setup, I got the blue screen of death. I tried to do repair and start over but is was kaput! Boxed it up the next day and sent it back. The refund came as soon as it was received by the seller.

exactly what I needed and it fit my requirements
Works great for what I want it to work for and I use it every day. Screen is responsive and clear and cpu works fast within the parameters designed. No complaints at all.
