Rusty and sticky
Got rusty after wash and couldn't even get the crepes out after it was done cooking. Terrible quality.

Must-have for every kitchen
WOW! ๐. Heavy cast iron is not something I like for a smooth surface induction cooktop. But I LOVE this pan. It comes with silicone handles, but it is steady enough on the cooktop that you rarely need to use them while cooking. The tempered glass lid has a silicone contact surface with the pan, so you can see your appo (Konkani dish) cooking without difficulty. This purchase, for me, is the fulfillment of over 15 years of searching for a pan that has enough slots for a family breakfast without having to do multiple batches. (That search showed me that other cuisines have similar dishes โ paniyaram from Kerala, takoyaki from Japan, ebelskiver from Denmark etc. โ party on, world!) Of course, only time will tell how well I care for this set, since cast iron needs a lot of care. I just wish the Tramontina Utsava line will include a lighter, induction-compatible, stainless steel or ceramic nonstick version for elders who have difficulty lifting heavy cookware. Do wait for the pan to cool down before attempting to lift it off the cooktop for cleaning. Affordable, easy to use, generous capacity. Not as heavy as the seven-slot version from Lodge Logic that I had before my search began. (For reference, that pan was very heavy and used the western style single pan handle design which I almost lost my grip on when putting it on the cooktop โ it frightened me enough that Iโve gone without cooking appos until now.)

Yes, itโs very heavy. Item does not come with handle covers like it shows in picture, otherwise works great

Great Performance, Higher Price Than Expected
Iโve always been curious about these pans, but never picked one up because it seemed like something Iโd rarely use. Now that I have one, I think I was probably rightโbut that doesnโt mean Iโm not impressed. To give it a proper test, I looked up an Aebleskiver recipe online and got cooking. First impressions: the pan is actually pretty dang nice. It came pre-seasoned, and that worked out great. I used a silicone brush to butter the crevices before adding the batter, and everything cooked up beautifully. The included silicone grips came in handy right away. I had the pan preheating while I mixed the batter, but realized Iโd set it a little off-center on the burner. Moving it without those grips wouldโve been a pain. The lid is solid tooโsilicone edge and a silicone knob. That said, unless I discover other uses for this pan beyond Aebleskiver, I donโt see myself reaching for the lid much. Iโve seen Tramontina stuff at Samโs Club before and always thought of it as more of a budget, club-store brand. But this pan surprised meโit's well-made and arrived really well packaged. Based on build quality and features alone, Iโd give this pan 5 stars. I think itโs worth around $25โ$30. Now that Iโve finished the review, Iโm about to check the actual price... so letโs see if any sticker shock changes my rating. Oofโ$39.99 at the time of this review. Maybe Iโm just out of touch with the cost of things now. Included photos are of the pan after cooking, before washing, and the Aebleskiver.

Happy with my purchase
Received the panniyaram cast iron pan. It looks very good and was well packaged. The surface looks pre - seasoned. I got a response in my question where I wanted to know if there was any non stick coating. The manufacturer promptly responded that there was none and that itโs a pre seasoned cast iron pan . So I am happy with my purchase.

Food sticking multiple times to surface
Tried using 4-5 times by seasoning with lot of oil. Food gets stuck to it. Cleaning is nightmare. I have other cast iron products that work perfectly fine.

Excellente qualitรฉ
Trรจs bonne qualitรฉ. Ne colle pas au premier usage. Point faible du fer de fonte: il faut bien entretenir aprรจs usage et รฉviter l'humidiรฉ d'entretient. Sinon, la rouille poingne rapidement.

Love this pan for appe
Iโve been craving for aape (South Indian semolina dumplings) for so long and finally I was able to cook it using this pan. Comes with a lid and easy to clean as it is cast iron. I am trying to make sure to keep it dry and season it with oil for keep it good to long time. All in all I like this purchase and will be review it again after using for a year or so.

Extremely satisfied
I love this. Make sure it's seasoned with oil after every wash including the bottom surface. Or else it will start rusting.
