Is this product safe for a septic system?

Not sure. But Lye beads are and are a MUCH better product that Draino will ever be. Search amazon for the ComStar brand of lye beads. You will never use Draino ever again.

I have a slow moving laundry drain , that eventually backs up. Can you recommend a product that will address a Laundry drain?

It has been so long ago that I used this product so I don't really remember details. I used it for a bathroom sink and I think it did help. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
