Brilliant just what wanted they are slightly shorter blade than I anticipated but good quality scissors nonetheless.

They’re okay, but not as sharp as I would have expected. A little disappointed but they did the job when my other pair needed sharpening.

May 2018 Update: The seller reached out to me and asked me to try another pair, at their expense. The new pair arrived and from only a few uses, I am very pleased with them! They are sharp, well-balanced and a good price. I would definitely buy from them again just because of their positive customer service attitude! Original review (October 2016): Nice & sharp! Came with a nice leather case. Better quality than I expected for the price! I also like the feel of these! June 2017 Update: they didn't last very well! I didn't drop them, but just by using them probably 25 hours, they loosened up and are no long cutting properly. There is an adjustment screw, but tightening it doesn't seem to solve the problem. (I bought a new pair from a different manufacturer.)

I bought these for grooming my three small dogs. Although they are sharp and do the job, the finger holes are too big for me to have a proper hold of them, even with the included inserts. I contacted the manufacturer, but they said I would have to get smaller inserts, but they don't have any. I'll search around, but if I end up having to spend another $10 just for small inserts, I'll probably return these and get a different scissor elsewhere. At least the manufacturer customer service did reply to my email quickly.

Finally had the chance to use these. The finger holes are a bit small for me, so I have to take out the comfort rings. I previously bought a pair of electric trimmers. They worked well, if the hair is not too long. Unfortunately our Golden's hair get long faster than I can keep up with them. May be able to do better now since I'm retired! The Sharf pet sizzlers worked GREAT. Needed to place our dogs on a table so I did not have to bend over, plus it keeps them still. I'm considering a groomer's table next. These scissors are EXTREMELY sharp, I nicked my finger (Only a Flesh Wound!), made a nice clean cut! Takes practice, learned a couple tricks after doing our seconded Golden. Considering on getting the curved set of Sharf scissors.

My wife and I have decided to start grooming our Shih-Tzu ourselves - he wasn't cooperative with most groomers when it came to his facial hair. We ordered a value kit to get started, but the shear that came with it was too dull, so we ordered the Sharf shear. The product is excellent and priced very competitively in comparison with products of similar quality. The only change I'd like to see is a slightly larger finger hole for the thumb. As with all well-designed professional instruments, use with care. Make sure your fingers are out of the way, or you can cut yourself quite seriously.
