Dayton Audio BST-1 High Power Pro Tactile Bass Shaker 50 Watts

​I installed these bass shakers on my sim rig for extra tactile feedback, and they have completely transformed my experience. If you're running SimHub, stop scrolling and buy these. ​Installation and Setup ​I connected these to a small mini-amp running SimHub on my laptop. The laptop connects to my PS5 via Wi-Fi (a common setup for console users), and the feedback is instantaneous and powerful. ​I mounted them strategically: ​One screwed directly to the bottom of my racing seat. ​One mounted to the pedal base plate. ​Performance & Immersion ​The difference is night and day. I use this underneath my Andaseat PC chair mainly for racing games with Simhub to add immersion but I've also got it added to voicemeeter banana software to liven up movies when watching on my PC. It's perfect for racing games and flight sims, I wouldn't want to race without it now as I've got used to feeling the rumble strips and roads underneath me while I'm in VR driving on a direct drive wheel. The immersion is unreal and makes sim racing a whole lot better! Never had any issues, it's well made and does what it's supposed to. Had for around 6 months now and seems like it'll last for years.

Used this as a single shaker under an office chair for sim racing, I love it so much and I if you turn it off it just immediately feels wrong now, just like if you lose FFB in your wheel. Now I want to get some TT25's for my pedals as it now feels so noticeable not having any feedback there when it's everywhere else.

I was hesitant to buy one simply because I didn't think I had any way to mount it to my computer chair. Everyone says you need to mount it to a solid flat surface, but my chair does not have anything like that. I found one person who said they used zip ties to attach it, so I had a feel around inside my chair and found that it's structure is made up of thin but sturdy metal bars and decided to take the risk on a purchase. When it arrived I did a hack job of slicing open the back of the chair and used some tiny zip ties that had shipped with my PC case and it works, it works brilliantly. I feel the vibration through my torso into my head down to my upper legs. It's great for all music but especially Drum and Bass, it's great for movies and video games, sometimes there is bass that is barely audible, but with this you will feel it. An example of that is the Revelations: Persona opening, you can find it on Youtube, and it adds a layer of suspense that you cannot hear. I'm using my single BST-1 connected with 14 gauge speaker wire to a Nobsound NS-01G Pro which I also used zip ties to attach to the arms of my chair so I can easily control the intensity. I think a single BST-1 is enough for a computer chair.

Quality item from Dayton. Wired up to a small sub amp and fed by my 7.1 AVR (making it a 7.2) this reveals an extra level of bass in movies that my normal sub can't quite reach. Almost subsonic!

Bought two of these for my sim rig and together with a cheap 50w pc amp the quality and quantity of vibration is off the chart - highly recommended - basically two of these + a cheap amp + cables is the same cost as a Buttkicker single unit kit (and easier to mount on anything other than an office chair) 2 transducers is really the minimum needed for a racing sim setup (under seat + under pedals)

Goes low and feels authentic for impacts.

I have had a pair of these installed in my sofa ( actually, more of just stuffing them in the cushions) for well over a year now and I haven't looked back since. All you need to hook these up to a small, inexpensive bass amp and you connect that amp to the bass output of your AV receiver. Tune the bass levels according to taste and you are good to go. Some people will tell you that a good bass(from a subwoofer) setup in any home theatre should be felt and not heard. These bass shakers will complement your setup no matter how good your subwoofer is. It just completes the LFE setup. Every shot or explosion is felt, giving a more realistic experience. On the end of the spectrum, if you don't want to create unnecessary friction with your neighbors, you can watch your movies with the volume down and the bass shakers cranked up. This gives you the experience minus the overpowering volume of your setup and without waking up your neighbors. Of course, there's gotta be a downside right? If not tuned properly, the bass from the soundtrack can be felt and can make the entire movie watching less realistic. Especially if you are reaally particular, time is needed to tune the bass levels for these shakers. All in all, they are relatively affordable ( watch for price drops especially here in amazon) but a good investment to better up your home theatre.

Sim racers listen up. If you have the ability to grab a pair of these and run them with your set up, you will never race without them again! I run in VR and with two of these mounted to the hip areas on my seat, every bump and rumble stip is felt. My biggest surprise was when I gained pace from being able to feel the tires breaking loose very early on in the slide. Honestly, total game changer. Snag an Amp that can properly power these (make sure your Amp power supply is at least 5A and 30ish Volts. I know they are only 50watts each but I was getting multiple amps cutting out. Was not the wattage but the current flow. 5A power supply and you will be good with the 100-150watt Amp

I bought two of this and I’m using one for a flight sim rig and the other for sim racing. What I can say is for flight sims this really is eye opening and I can never fly without it again. For flight sims I use SimHaptic software which tranforms telemetry data like G-forces, wing loading, etc., into sound waves. Run those into an audio amp to drive these and you get immersion and you feel what the plane is doing. Since SimHaptic has support for almost any flight simulation telemetry it works well with Falcon BMS, DCS, and IL2 Great Battles. Heck, my WinCtrl software only works on DCS among those three and its effects aren’t really that informational. No contest. No, it doesn’t make my flight stick have FFB but having these bass shakers kinda fools me that I am getting FFB. Like very subtle stick inputs make you feel something, very awesome. For sim racing I use SimHub and like in flight sims it provides immersive vibrations but I feel like it’s not as informational. For that the steering wheel is still king. Or maybe I haven’t set my effects well yet, idk. Anyway, good buy.
