Highly recommended! Well done!
This transfer banch is strongs, reliable, safe, and with proper hight for our bath tub. We decided to place it away from the toilet, and when we gave a shower to my 92 year old mom, we were able to move and lock the seat with ease and comfidence for my mom's safety. My mom felt safe and enjoyed the shower. We used the lift to and from the bathroom and we were glad that the seat locking mecanism worked so well, yet simple while we handled the sling. When we lifted mom's legs over the tub, the seat was steady. Overall, happy with this product. Highly recommended.

A GAME CHANGER!
We have tried several options to make the bathtub accessible for my mother after her back injury. This one is a real game changer. The glide between the toilet and the tub is totally effortless, and the cut-out seat allows for thorough personal hygiene. The assembly was very straightforward and quick. We have upgraded our system by: 1) retrofitting it with Toilet Safety Rail (VIVE, Amazon); the rails/arms make sitting on, and standing from, the bench MUCH easier. You just need to omit one screw to make the rail on the side of the bathtub detachable (see photos); 2) adding Shower Seat Cushion (AERRTIS, Amazon), which makes sitting more comfortable. When not in use, it fits even in a small bathtub (please see the last photo). Overall, an excellent product!

Well built
Much sturdier than it looks. No wobble when sliding from toilet to shower or back. Very light and easy to move and adjust. Height is very adjustable to find the right height for the user. Chair is secure when locked in on either end.

Expensive! And our moms are worth it.
Longest sliding track I could find, seat can completely exit the shower and reach over the bathroom floor. Glad I didn't choose a smaller size to save a few bucks. I drilled another set of holes to shorten leg height another inch at the shower end, because the floor in there is higher than the bathroom floor. It's as low as it can go and still sits level.

Negative review is not reflective of my experience
I had hesitation in purchasing this bench due to the review of BBA. I even had my sister who cared for our mother post-stroke read all the reviews and give me her opinion before I ordered the bench to help me with my 6โ6โ, 239 pd husband. We both felt it was worth the chance if it could lend some degree of safety for my husband and me (5โ1โ). He is in his 70s and has just finished 3 weeks in a rehab facility after breaking his femur. Well, I just finished assisting my hubby with his first shower using the chair/tub bench. We did not experience any of the problems expressed or feared by BBA. The chair was stable, moved back and forth easily and I was able to get to each area of his body to ensure cleanliness. He was somewhat apprehensive initially but, after we were done, he stated this bench was the best item I have purchased to help him! I will emphasize you need to measure accurately so you get the best results. Oh, and it only took me 30 minutes to assemble.

Risk of not fitting, and losing half of your money!
I bought it with excitement for my parents as it is a genuine idea, and as a design engineer myself, when I put it together it really looked awesome and well built. When I tried to fit it in place, I just realized several problems. When you slide the seat all the way over the tub, about 20% of it is still outside the tub, meaning the when showring, so much water will go outside the tub. The seat dimensions are listed on the product description, but you do not realize how small the seat opening is till you see it. It is the size of a toddler trainer. An elderly person sitting on it must only do #1 or #2, and if you do both, some mess will go over the seat. The tracks under the openings are visible so, unless your droppings go straight down, they will hit the track, and if you slide the seat, the mess is all over. With all of these issues my parents' caregiver told me it would be easier for her to lift my parents over the tub rather than cleaning such a mess. So, we never used it, and we put together back in its original box like never opened. The company agreed to take back with 15% restocking and I pray for return shipping which is about $90. So basically you barely get half of your money back. I argued on the phone, but no hope. I decided to keep the unit and use some parts of it for another project I am working on. So once you buy this product, you are taking the chance to lose half of your money if it does not fit, provided that you never use it. If there is a sign that it is used, they will not refund you any, which means not only you lost the purchase price, but you also lose additional $90 for the return shipping. The conclusion, the product is a great idea and well-built if it fits over your tub and under your bottom. If it does not fit, the companyโs no-return policy makes you lose your money. If I have time again, I will put it up again and takes photos of the problems.

Works great until it breaks. This is my 3rd one in 2+ years.
I'm an 83-year-old left leg amputee who uses this sliding shower seat to transfer from my wheelchair to the seat and then slide into my walk-in shower. I need the sliding seat to get over the curb on the outside edge of the shower. And, of course, I can't stand on one leg in the shower without a chair of some kind. It works great ... until it breaks. I'm on my 3rd chair in 2+ years. I weigh around 230-235 lbs, so I don't think it's my weight. I'm gentle with it. It sits in place over the curb all the time. I don't remove it or pull it around. I just get on it, slide in, and shower. The rails do get very sticky and it takes a real effort to pull it into the shower, but I follow the manufacturer's suggestion and spray the rail with WD-40 around twice a week to keep it slippery. Works fine and keeps the seat moving smoothly. The first time it broke, the right-hand front slider on the chair cracked into two pieces and fell off. I was able to use the chair on the remaining three sliders (very carefully) until a new unit arrived. There do not seem to be any spare parts available to replace the slider. Today, the locking tab on the same right front slider fell off, leaving the chair loose to slide back and forth while I was on it inside the shower. We tried to put the tab back on, but could not get it to fit. So I've ordered another one -- my third. In other words, I've now spent over $1000 because the same part on both chairs broke. I really like the chair otherwise. It's just what I need. It's exactly the right length, for one thing; a shorter one would not work. But I can't take the chance of it falling apart with me on the chair. I'm keeping alert for a similar extra-long chair from another company that might be more sturdy, but so far no joy.

Well made, easy to assemble and very sturdy
This was purchased for my mother. She needed a chair that slid smoothly and far enough in and out of the shower. It slides further than the average sliding chair. Perfect setup and great quality. Well worth the price. Also light enough to take in and out of the bathroom between showers. Great investment.
