Bought coz my kid doesn't like PS type games and we need to find something for him to waste some energy at home cuz is a TDHA kid, and sometimes we cannot take him out, too hot, and also for a family time. As a gamer myself I had been looking for a console that could be my son's first introductory system & Nex playground fits the bill perfectly. To me, it gives a mash up of Wii & Xbox Kinect vibes. It gets you up off the couch, which is great to burn off young kids energy. It comes with 5 games or you can get a subscription to gain access to a larger catalogue (which isn't a turn off for me). Setup is easy & straight forward. Active Reddit page. Shipping was good/fast enough. Just remember if you are based in Australia like myself you will need to purchase an additional adaptor before you can use it (I got mine from Bunnings). Overall have been super happy with the system. No issues so far. Son is loving his Elmo game. Looking forward to seeing more game releases.

My 3 year old and 7 year old love it, our 18 month old wants to play too. The Peppa pig and bluey games were definitely a big selling point for us, and they are fun. However I do wish you could set it to just keep playing the same bluey/Peppa game instead of it going into the next one (it's possible you can and I just haven't figured it out, but I don't think so). I also like the fitness games for myself, not a big fan of zumba type stuff, but I really like the boxing game for myself. It has different levels and time frames you can set it to. And it's not just punching, there's all kind of ducking and blocking too so your really getting a decent little work out that doesn't feel like work. And of course, it keeps the kids moving. My 7 year old has ADHD and ASD, his big thing is tech. We don't want to get him a "regular" game console until he's older (and the toddler won't break it), but this is a really great compromise. He loves the brick blocker, and fruit ninja. I've been having him play a little bit in the mornings sometimes before school to get him out of that foggy-groggy morning head. That and some music on the way to school has really improved his mornings, I've seen it myself and his teachers agree. It's also great that whenever they release new games, you automatically get them with the subscription. And the annual subscription is absolutely worth it. It's also nice if your not sure if it's right for you, you do get a couple games to try out before paying for the subscription. Also just a tip if you have little ones your worried might take the nex and throw it around or something, we put alien tape on the bottom and stuck it on the shelf below the TV, it hasn't moved once. And our toddler is incredibly destructive.
