Perfect
I purchased these some time ago and they have been put through their paces since then and I have nothing but great things to say about them. I use them to secure my backpack so I can sleep on the plane or leave it at my seat without having to worry about someone snooping around in it since that's where I keep all my valuables. So these locks had a really big role to fill and they are working out beautifully.First thing is first- These locks are extremely durable and sturdy. I had to buy a few extra locks of the same kind at the last minute, so I went to a big box retail store and purchased locks much like these, just made by a much more well known lock company and those things are just awful. They didn't even survive one full trip, even though they were exposed to the same treatment as the Lewis N. Clark locks. The dials on the Lewis N. Clark have not felt loose, nor have they snagged. They roll in and out of position very securely and this really gives you confidence when you have so much riding on them. The body of the lock feels almost indestructible and, thanks to the black wrapping, it stays looking nice despite being scratched up and dinged. I really can't emphasize enough just how solid they feel.Second- the cabling for the latches are very, very strong. I've read a few other reviews where people say it would be easy to cut them open- trust me; it's not. Cabling like this is intentionally difficult to cut through in a quick and smooth motion. You'd have to hack and saw away for some time before getting through enough of the wires to possibly break them. It is much better than a solid steel latch which CAN be cut off in a very quick fashion. The rounded end of the cables also lock into place very securely and I don't think they'll be able to pop out on their own by accident.Third- Super easy to change the combination just using the lock itself. This is particularly nice/helpful if you want to keep changing the combination in order to keep other nosy passengers from possibly seeing what your combination is. And when it comes to the TSA, they've never complained about having to open these. They just use their key to pop it open and then lock it back up.In all, I'd say these locks are about as perfect as you're going to find and they are well worth the money spent on them. Especially when compared to the other locks I purchased by one of the biggest names in the lock industry, these have proven to be a traveler's dream come true. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about them.

I can still break into you luggage
Even if you use these cable locks, I can still break into your luggage. Google OPEN LUGGAGE PEN and watch the shocking video. You would be better off buying Lewis N. Clark Tsa Lockdown Triple Security Cable Lock also sold here at Amazon.com. The principle is by securing your zipper handles to the top suitcase handle the thief cannot close the zipper once he opens your bag with a pen. Always carry your valuables with you in your carry-on. Leave your jewelry at home and take cheap immitations. You can take aboard a backpack and a carry-on luggage. I once took carried an additional 50 pounds this way. BE prepared. There are lots of crooked baggage handlers, opportunistic passengers, and sticky-fingered TSA agents.Addenum: I have invented a way to deter thieves with pens. Take an awl and make two holes through your luggage fabric right next to where your two zippers rest after you zipper your bag closed. From the inside insert the cable's end through the hole and back in through the second hole. Now lock it from the inside. Use the second lock to lock the two zippers and the first cable together. If they open your luggage with a pen they cannot close it and you will discover the crime. The thief will know he can't close it so will not try. Now need to brainstorm how to keep the dirty TSA agent out. They worse than Al Queda! Maybe make a 2-3 foot long cable with loops at both ends at Home Depot. String your shirts, pants, shorts, sandals, etc. and lock them to the cable lock inside the luggage. They can open it but can't steal your clothes. Just carry the rest of your valuables in your carry-on. Try buying a Samsonite Cruisair luggage. It has NO zippers and a built in 3-number dial a combo. Hope all this helps. I hate thieves who ruin my vacations.

Nice locks
I like the locks. I used to buy rigid shape code lock, the ones with solid metal arcs not the wire ones. The wire ones offer much wider flexibility in using. I specially like that the wire ending connects into the lock itself in a way that you don't even have to use the code always, it looks like it's locked already and it doesn't come apart unless you move it inwards first and then pull. It's useful in moments when you have to lock and unlock your luggage etc often in a short time period, like in an hour, this way it looks like it's locked already and you don't always have to start entering the code. My only small complaint is that the wire sort of looks like it's about to come apart from the lock any minute, it has moved a bit outwards. But it looks solid and it doesn't seem to interfere with the locks work. Frankly, this has happened to every wire code lock i have and i have quite a few of them.

Perfect Lock
I bought these locks to go on my suitcase (obviously). They are pretty small but much better than using a key to open as keys are very easy to lose! The three digit combination is perfect and makes it easier to remember. The cable that locks into place is great. I love that it is so flexible. It fits perfectly into the very small hole between the two zippers on my luggage. It clicks into place very easily and though small it seems very durable. It's also TSA complaint which is great because they'll find any excuse to tear into your luggage and if they find a need to, this lock makes it easier as they have a special key that opens it without them having to break the lock. Conclusion: I love that it is a two-pack, making a good deal even better. These are small but the numbers are readable. It's easy to use and very durable. If I ever need more, I know which ones I will purchase!
