What is the difference between a mineral sunscreen and chemical sunscreen?

Mineral sunscreen creates a barrier that deflects UV rays from the skin’s surface and stops them from penetrating. Standard, non-mineral sunscreens penetrate into the skin and absorb the sun's rays, where they are converted into heat & then released.

Does the zinc sunscreen leave a white cast on skin and is this because it sits on TOP of skin to reflect harmful rays?

While our formula is designed to not leave a white cast on any skin color, all mineral sunscreens are unable to be completely clear as the zinc oxide sits on TOP of skin to reflect the rays. So depending on skin tone, it may appear slightly different

Can you use mineral sunscreen on a baby?

Because of their vulnerable skin, pediatricians recommend babies be kept out of the sun as much as possible for the first 6 months. After that, they can start wearing sunscreen for extra protection. Our formula is supremely gentle and non-irritating.

How best to use sunscreen?

Apply generously from head to tiny toes fifteen minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours and use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Limit sun exposure especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
