Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Cat Food, Rabbit Mini Patties, 15 oz Bag

Mid product. Truly quality control issues. I get that this is supposed to be raw and grounded up rabbits and the ingredients seem great. But I can’t tell you enough how big and sharp the bones are. It’s good for my cats, they like it, but I don’t. Every time I’ve purchased this I feel like I have to do a scavenger hunt of bones. Except there is no reward waiting for me. Only perpetual torture. The fact I have to sit there and spend at least an hour and a half trying to break apart all of the patties so I can dig through the insane amount of bones just to create a good enough batch for them for like 2-3 weeks makes this product not worth it. I have two cats btw. Honestly painful, for both me and potentially for them. It’s really dangerous if they’ve ingested all of the bones I’ve found in a single batch. Which adds up to like at least 1/5th of a bag. Wish I can show a picture, but I stopped buying this because it’s such a hassle. Also, it smells weird.

Bought twice and had the same results: half crumbs, half small bits. Rarely will you find a whole square solid. The cats didn't like it as much as I thought they would.

The product quality is inconsistent; the freeze-dried rabbit meat I purchased this time contained an excessive amount of hard bone fragments. Some of these bone pieces were quite sharp and jagged, and I am concerned that if my cat ingests them, they could injure its esophagus. I have purchased this specific rabbit product—as well as other freeze-dried varieties in different flavors—in the past, and I did not encounter this issue previously. I hope the manufacturer will take steps to strictly uphold their quality control standards. Thank you.

Ok my cat loves this. I will order more but can you PLEASE grind it finer. My cat is puking out the bone fragments. The cat should not fall ill. He loves i5 and I spend 5 min staring the bone out. Please help . Thanks. It could also turn into a safety issue
