One of the standout features is the convenience of not having to plug in your device, making it ideal for short trips or when you’re in a hurry. The interface is user-friendly, mirroring your iPhone's functionality while ensuring that apps are easy to navigate. However, performance can vary based on your car's hardware and the strength of your Wi-Fi connection. Some users report occasional lag or disconnection, particularly in older models. Additionally, not all vehicles support wireless CarPlay, so it's essential to check compatibility. Overall, if you frequently use your phone for navigation and entertainment, wireless CarPlay significantly enhances the driving experience, combining convenience with functionality.

This started as a 5-star product for me, but after extended use it’s realistically a 3-star. Pros: Setup is simple and it connects in about 10–15 seconds. Not having to deal with cables is a huge win, and I can use my MagSafe mount to charge at the same time. When everything is working, it feels seamless. Cons: Reliability is the issue. It randomly freezes and needs to be unplugged to reset. Spotify occasionally won’t play through it at all. Audio apps can behave strangely too — for example, Marco Polo sometimes has no sound or a noticeable lag when this is connected, even though it works fine over regular Bluetooth. Notifications are another annoyance. When this is connected, I often don’t see them on my phone unless I keep it unlocked on the home screen. That’s not practical while driving. It also tends to override what I actually want to use. I listen to the radio a lot, but this defaults to playing music from my phone every time I start the car. Switching back isn’t smooth — sometimes I have to hit the mode button multiple times before it sticks. I’ve had to unplug it more often than I’d like just to get things working normally again. Bottom line: When it works, it’s great. But the inconsistency and small bugs add up quickly. If you’re okay with occasional frustration for the convenience of wireless CarPlay, it might still be worth it — otherwise, sticking with a wired connection is more reliable.
