I got this for a post surgical star at the recommendation of my doctor and obsessive Internet research. Silicone seems to be the best way to go. I alternate the cream during the day with silicone strips at night. It seems to be working and four months after my surgery, my raised pink scar is starting to lighten. I’m really just about putting it on twice a day as they say you’re supposed to. And you really do need only a very tiny amount. If you use too much, it doesn’t dry correctly. So, it ends up being not that expensive since you don’t use very much.

Excellent product; originally got for a dog bite on wrist. Helped not only the scar to fade but also to give a layer of ‘protection’ from bumps on it to make it a little less painful or sensitive.
