Good taste and quality.
Black rice is almost impossible to find around my city. This rice is of high quality, cooks up easily and is tasty. Is a bit pricey comparatively.

purple fave!
My husband calls this "purple rice" because after cooking (in my Instant Pot) it does take on a purple hue. It is his absolute favorite rice! Not quite as "wild" as some other dark rice varieties, but this one is just as nutty and is GREAT for adding substance to dishes -- even tricking some into thinking there is MEAT in the dish, when it is just this awesome rice! Highly recommended.

Love this rice!
I prefer brown rice, farro, and wheat berry over white rice. If your palete is similar, you just might love this black pearl rice as much as I do! I find it very easy to cook - - I just put it in the rice cooker on the brown rice setting. I do, however, add three times the water as there is rice, although the package I believe suggests just 1.5 times the water. I've found that too little water will cook out quickly (at least in my rice cooker) and leave the rice closer on the crispier side, whereas I love it when it's chewy, but not dry. If you try the black pearl rice and enjoy it, then this pack of 6 is worth the investment.

Best rice
I discovered black rice a couple years ago and everyone I share it with is hooked. Pricier than Chinese black rice but Iโve spent time in China and know many expats there. They wonโt touch food from China. This is also organic.

Rice with a bold texture.
Will cook faster than instructions (or you can add more water as you check how it's doing). I preferred not cooking the full time. Rice would retain some of its crunchiness/chewishness. Comes out and tastes excellent.

It is a nutritionally better rice and it has better flavor
It goes well with tomato puree (Don't waste your money on tomato sauces, most of which add sugar and salt and spices that kill the pure tomato flavor.) and mozzarella cheese (which you can get with microbial enzymes if you have moral objections to killing animals for food (slaughterhouse enzymes are in most cheeses).

The forbidden rice of the Chinese emperor - SO GOOD
This rice is so good it'll blow your socks off. I hate rice but since my family started. buying this rice I eat it legitimately every day. It's amazing. A real legend has it that the Chinese king once used to keep all of the black rice in the land to himself because it was considered a delicacy and it ensured longevity and health. I believe it! " Black rice, also called forbidden rice or "emperor's rice," is gaining popularity for its high levels of antioxidants and superior nutritional value. Forbidden rice earned its name because it was once reserved for the Chinese emperor to ensure his health and longevity, and forbidden to anyone else. " - google
