Leather Dressing: Restores and Conditions Leather Boots, Shoes, Automotive Interiors, Jackets, Saddles, Unscented, 5 Ounce Jar

It's truly a great product for restoring boots with signs of wear and tear. My boots had excellent results; it just takes a while to dry, so I waited until the next day to use a polishing brush. I recommend it!

I have a pair of redwing boots that I’ve used lightly for 14 years. They are structurally in amazing shape, but the leather was pretty scuffed up, and the color went from a medium-dark brown to a tannish color. I drive a bus and the uniform policy requires black or dark brown shoes/boots. Most of the time I wear black brooks athletic shoes, but in the winter or when it’s raining I need something warmer and waterproof. I put this on and it made the boots a bit darker than they ever were, which was perfect and what I needed. Should have done before and after photos, but had to leave a review anyway because I’m very happy with my purchase. I’m also happy that the smell putting it on was almost pleasant. I’m super sensitive to smell and other leather treatments I’ve used in the past have made me a bit nauseous. This was enjoyable and simple to use. Didn’t leave streaks or uneven look. As the product and other have stated however, it will make lighter leathers a darker color.

I used this on a pair of leather work boots. They were light tan in color when I started and turned a rich brown color. I was expecting a color change so not a big deal, but make sure you'd be okay with it before applying! I applied two coatings and wiped the excess off using rags from an old t-shirt I'd cut up. Was very easy to use, and I found that warming the top of the jar with a hairdryer for a few seconds made it even easier to scoop out and smooth on. Was glad it didn't have much of a smell. I've worn my boots out in the rain a few times, while shoving snow and while washing my car. Initially, small amounts of water beaded up and rolled off, but after longer or more intense exposure I ended up with dark spots and patches over the top of the toe boxes (they disappeared after the boots dried). This is the first time I've used any sort of conditioner/repellent on boots, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that or if I did't apply enough. I'll update my review after I apply another coating and test it some more.

So far so good! I forgot I bought this and used it today for the first time. My boots definitely needed some conditioning. I used another brand that was a clear liquid and it dried out my boots rather than moisturized them and made them look good. You can see (right/your left) boot has dressing and right doesn’t. I let the conditioner sit for a few hours then brushed again and they still look great! Will add another coat tomorrow and see how they look after that.

Good stuff

This stuff is amazing! Bought new boots and treated them. I did nine John Deer tractor oil changes, thought they were a goner! But they cleaned up really well!

Does not cover scuffs.

I used this for my Boulet leather cowboy boots in the fall and they held up excellent in the salt and snow this winter and still look great.
