Tried for the first time and it left a hue but very subtle left it for 20 minutes and not a big difference probably have to do it several times to see a difference and the bottle isn’t filled to the top. BUT…. I dyed my hair a second time and now it’s red red and it’s really nice love the outcome probably have to order another bottle because I have a lot of hair

This product you got my attention with all the positive reviews and saying shampoo. For one thing it's not a shampoo you apply in the shower as I thought it has applied to dry hair like any other hair dye. As far as how it is with sensitive scalps. It failed terribly with me. Upon applying it, the color look good. It was even throughout the head. No irritation the first night I thought hey this is great. I found a product that'll work. The following day, irritation and itching third day terrible itching scalp irritation inflammation spots, forming throughout the top of my scalp. By the fourth day, I had scabs on my head the irritation is absolutely terrible. Apparently I got a sensitive scalp because this product did not work at all for me. I will be putting it in the trash like every other one I've tried. If you have a sensitive scalp, I would not recommend this product. There's nothing natural about it.

I am giving this a 4 more for the color. Its not just a little red, it is really red. I wish polar brand would use the number system used by salons so that you could be more sure of the color you are going to get if you switch from a salon color to this color. I was using #34 (mahogany) and this color is not even close, it is much more red. I am figuring maybe if I mix it with some brown that I will get the right color. I do like the idea that I can purchase two colors and make my own combination. I would love to know if someone has already developed something like 1 squirt dark wine + 2 squirts medium brown =????? It is easy to use, just be sure to run water over dispenser after use so that it doesn't get a dry clog and then shake before use. I do have some obstinate hairs and so I do leave in for 15 minutes. I do personally like how the color fades as the roots grow in and I don't feel like I do have to regularly color and I kind of like the balayage look.

I'm a hairstylist that can no longer use matrix color due to an allergy I've developed. I thought I would give this a try. It matched ALMOST perfectly with my matrix 5NC (NEUTRAL/ COPPER) and just to note I've got about 65% Grey and it covered beautifully. I read some reviews where people said it damaged their hair, to that ,I say, treat this as regular hair color. DO NOT apply like a shampoo, and just slap on all over your head. You only want to apply this to your new growth (Roots). IF YOU OVERLAP OVER AND OVER AGAIN , YOU WILL GET DAMAGE. ITS a chemical haircolor! So proceed as such. If you put on responsibility, you should get good results . ALSO, IF you are trying to use this product to cover Grey hair, you have to use the "Coffee Brown Color or darker , if you try covering using a lighter color, all it will so is TONE your grays to "blend " them in a little better.
