Really happy with this slicer. It’s powerful, easy to use, and cuts through meat nice and evenly. Adjusting the thickness is simple, and it feels sturdy and well made. Cleanup isn’t too bad either. Definitely makes food prep a lot quicker and easier. Would buy again!

Minimal use so far, but it seems fantastic. It sliced meats and cheeses just fine. Even without the sharpening stones engaged. Clean up was a pain, but it goes with anything used. Next use is likely to be Thanksgiving where I slice the turkey breast after smoking it on the grill with a specialized smoker built for grills, which I very much look forward to. After Thanksgiving, I’ll make smoked turkey sandwiches. Gift that keeps on giving.

I agonized over which slicer to buy for WEEKS and read DOZENS of reviews. Buying any of these Chinese machines is a gamble, but KWS is truly trustworthy. Ultimately I chose this machine based on the SELLER. That was wise and I am SO GLAD I did. More on that below. This has plenty of power. It slices full slabs of bacon beautifully and perfectly. Yes, you have to fold the slab in half, but that's no big deal and even a 12" slicer will require you to do that. It will also SHAVE meat paper thin. I bought this specifically for those two reasons: Bacon, and shaving meat super thin. I love to make my own meats and slice them deli thin and pile them on sandwiches. I have made my own smoked turkey breast, roast beef, smoked roast beef, and all kinds of stuff I could only dream of. My wife and kids LOVE having fresh deli meat that has only the ingredients I put in it. I am very reluctant to rate this 4 stars instead of 5, but I did have a problem. One of the screws that holds the blade on was stripped. I read about this problem with other slicers and I am extremely mechanical and handy (I have a 500 square foot shop with every tool known to man). I was extremely cautious with the screws, but as I said, one was stripped. The seller offered to replace the machine, but I asked to have the part sent to me. They HAVE PARTS!! They sent it to me free of charge. For now, I'm just being very careful, but I will have to replace the pulley piece eventually. Cleaning is not bad, but you WILL need no-cut gloves. Get a pair, not just one. I scoffed at this advice, then got a single one locally, then got a pair here on Amazon (for the same price as the single). I don't understand those fussing about cleaning it. Go to your local grocer's deli at closing time and watch the nightmare of cleaning the commercial machines. Just like a commercial machine costing thousands, it will sling little bits around if you cut a lot of meat at once. Put some foil under it and up the wall a few inches before using it. (That is not a criticism or a negative. This is a very well-made machine and there is no slicer made that doesn't operate like this.) I haven't cut cheese yet, but with the power it has, I am 100% confident it will sail through it. Summary: This thing is awesome, I love it, and I'd buy it again.

I owned two slicers for years that I thought they were doing an ok job. Then, I ordered this KWS slicer. It's wonderful. After researching many hours and reading through the comments, I decided to go with a company I had heard of and they had a video! The video showing how to take the machine apart to clean it is what sold me. They didn't say it was easy, they showed you. That says volume's about their product. I ordered the version with the black teflon blade. I tried this on two top round roast beef that had been sous vide and refrigerated. This machine laughed! It can cut it tissue thin or thick. The black blade is very sharp. It was extremely easy to use and the best part...clean up is pretty easy. You do need a phillips screwdriver to remove three screws to take the blade off. That wasn't a big deal to me and I knew this again, because it was on their video. I noticed in many videos they always show them cutting frozen meat. I was so curious how this was going to cut my refrigerated meat. Ease...cut it with ease. Mine unit is brand new so I can't say anything about longevity. I can say, it's a great slicer. Compared to my other two, I just regret I didn't get this sooner. It's built well, and user friendly. I would probably recommend the slicing gloves be worn when you take the blade off. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

Arrived intact and working thanks to good packaging. I haven't used it but expect it will perform well. The manual is printed not copied and readable. I really appreciate the availability of replacement parts. My only regret is that I didn't order the unit with the safe blade removal tool. I probably would have if it had been pictured as an option; it wasn't. The pricing for the safe blade removal tool included the cost of the machine and there was no way of knowing what exactly was the purchase. I have a message to the seller now to ask if it can be purchased now after the initial sale. I believe the tool is more of an assembly as opposed to something like a screwdriver. I will update this review accordingly. Got a response within the hour. As it happens, the SBRT is not an accessory; it is a different machine.
