WHITIN Little/Big Kids Wide Toe Box Barefoot Shoes with Zero Drop W8K7

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, so I'm very particular with how my children's shoes compliment the biomechanics of the human foot. The only shoes I allow my children to wear are Whitin shoes or shoes much like them. They look super cool, and they are very affordable. I have found that they hold up well. We have had these shoes for our son for months and are satisfied. What I love about Whitin shoes are the fact that they are built to allow the human foot to simply do what it was designed to do. This is accomplished in these shoes by having no incline in the heel (zero drop) so the posterior chain of your leg (calf and hamstrings) are not flexed and shortened, and by having a wide toe box so that your toes can spread out as far as they need to. A zero drop and a wide toe box allow for the proper motion of the 26 bones within the foot. When the foot moves properly, it absorbs shock. If the foot doesn't move properly, such as when you are wearing bad shoes (please note: 99% of shoes are made with an incline in the heel and a narrow toe box, and are therefore classified as bad in this doctors opinion), shock will not get absorbed by the foot as well and will get absorbed by your knees, hips, and spine, especially the low back. Whitin shoes are also great because they are minimalist and have a thin sole. This allows for greater proprioception between the brain and the feet (proprioception is the brains ability to sense where body parts are in space). In essence, when you buy shoes, you want them to mimic walking barefoot. This is particularly important for a developing child. Your child's feet can develop while wearing shoes that disrupt the natural biomechanics of the foot or you can ensure their feet develop well anatomically and mechanically by getting them shoes like Whitin shoes. If you have kids and need some good shoes, find yourself some high-quality zero drop, wide toe box shoes like Whitins!

My son had started to complain how his toes were feeling cramped and tight in shoes, so I immediately started looking for options online. If you don’t know, when we’re young our feet need space to grow not only in length but in width! Most shoes bind our feet and leave them too narrow. I’ve known this but honestly had been putting it off because I thought the options out there were too expensive. These are the perfect option for my son! They’re wide enough for his toes now. They’re a great price! He can get them on and off quickly with the Velcro. And they’re great for play, school and evening dressing up. Love these!

My son has really wide feet and he really likes these shoes. They have held up nicely and they are very easy to get on and off.

My Kiddos are hard on shoes. The fabric reinforced toe was a game changer. This was the first time a barefoot shoes lasted through the summer. Were there holes in the fabric, yes but his toes did not make it out of the front, so I am calling that a win. My child loved this shoe and still tries to wear it, even though he has officially outgrown them now. I would definitely purchase these again.

Oh I wish these shoes had sizes bigger than 5. I would get them for all my kiddos. True to size. My child won't take them off. Hopefully they hold up well.

Great fit, my son has wide little feet...

I wanted to love these, but they started fraying after the 2nd wear and now, after less than 2 weeks of only wearing to school and home, the Velcro is coming apart from the strap. The cheaper pair we have previously gotten have held up better.

La punta de tela no duró nada, al primer día se le salieron hilos y estaba raspada. Se les dio uso rudo, es cierto, el par anterior que había comprado de la misma marca duraron perfecto por que la punta es plastificada. Sería una gran mejora en el producto.

Calidad muy regular en la tela. Se raspan muy fácil. La verdad no los volvería a comprar
