You can turn off the sound! (Although it resets if the power goes out.) You just hold the number 8. And you can turn off the display, in case you're bothered by intrusive light coming from it. (Just hit cancel a few times and the display light goes off.) This one was a bonus, since I didn't realize when buying that it could do this. But it makes me very happy. Overall, it's a small little microwave, which is what I needed because the electrical circuit it's on can't handle a big power draw. Only "downside" is that big popcorn bags tend to get stuck (can't turn) but...I actually like that since I like the taste of slightly burnt popcorn, ha. Otherwise it works great and heats fine.

I was after a cheap small microwave. This microwave saved me a fair bit of counter space from the previous one that was here. What I didn't expect is that it is my favorite microwave ever. Down sides - it's small (positive for me) it is lower watts so longer cook times, and the display is bright. Up sides - The beep can be disabled and the display toggled. The instruction manual was worth skimming for codes for options, other than that everything was intuitive. Using this microwave is awesome. No beeps at all once disabled. It just shuts off when done. The display can be toggled off by pressing the stop button. And when you press a number key by default it does that many minutes saving a button press. Of course the start button adds 30s making it easy to quickly get to a time. I wanted a cheap space saving one, but to my surprise found my favorite microwave.

I wanted a smaller microwave oven, and this Toshiba Oven is perfect. I am not crazy about the door opening, quite awkward, and the "time light" is so bright that it is visible from outer space. However, the oven works well and is easy to program and while heating, is very quiet. I would recommend.

What a great little microwave! I was a bit worried it might be too small but it fits: a dinner plate, 3 mugs, a 1.5 qt casserole dish with lid, a 1 pound loaf dish, a pyrex pie plate and alike. It also accommodates the average tall takeout soup container. Think Wanton. DISCLAIMER: It holds all these items separately - not all at once! That would be nuts. This unit is much quieter than my huge over-the-range microwave. In retrospect, what an absolute waste of space and money the old one is - without being any more useful to me than this 'little' unit! The buttons are easy to press, the pre-sets are convenient, the lighting is both soft and bright. It's heavy enough to be stable. Light enough to move. I spent the extra 16 bucks for the 4 year plan, just in case. Now that I actually have the unit, it seems so well-made and designed, the plan is probably unnecessary. (My old microwave died like a supernova. On a holiday weekend. Not taking any chances right now.) All the glowing reviews for Toshiba microwaves are spot-on. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This little oven is a gem and perfect for college dorms and apartments where space is at a premium. Don't let the 700W rating fool you -- this thing is CRAZY FAST at heating food. Way faster than my Sharp 1000W commercial microwave I have in the kitchen. It's made by Midea like 95% of the microwaves sold today. Has worked great with no issues for a year now. If you don't have small children, just permanently disable the door lock before using it to save yourself frustration.

It’s not easy to find a small microwave that can handle a full-size dinner plate, but this one is can! It fits perfectly on an open shelf in our kitchen. It’s exactly what we needed.

It looks nice, but am a bit disappointed with its power and needs to cook longer than my old one, but it will do.

It is very good, very good size and power.
