Are the stencils plastic or card stock?

plastic, cheap and break easily

What kind of paint am I supposed to use with this? It’s like the most important thing and there’s no answer to it anywhere.

I use acrylic DecoArt paints or CraftSmart paints in US. Multi-surface paints in these brands work well on glass, stones, metal, and outside use. Patio paints are good for outdoors also. You use the type paints for what you are going to be painting on. You want a creamy stirred up yogurt consistency that pours out of the bottle easily. If too thin, the dots merge together into blobs, if too thick, you get rough sharp points in your dots, wrinkles, or suction holes. Thin down paints with a pouring medium from most major art brands.

Has anyone used the items such as the templates to paint rocks? How did that work out for you? Thank you.

I did not have any success. The stencils are difficult to lay flat on rocks. However, I have had fun painting mandalas on rocks. Enjoy ,Sandra
