WAVLINK 35-Amp Smart Battery Charger, 6V/12V/24V Car Battery Charger

I bought this charger to replace one that failed on our battery backup system for our sump pump. I've had the charger for two days, and I'm convinced it was the right choice. It's used to charge our two LiFePo4 12V 100Ah batteries. They had drained below the threshold that the BMS would tolerate, so the batteries' BMS kicked in. I couldn't figure out how to use the WAVLINK charger to wake the batteries to start charging. The instructions have some translation issues, but one of the videos here tells how to do it. I used a jump starter pack to wake up the BMS (you likely don't need to replace the BMS board, which is a dangerous procedure). The WAVLINK charger then recognized that the batteries were connected. It took several hours, but the charger did its job, charging both batteries to their full capacity. The display is clear and easy to read, showing the progress in the charging cycle. The built-in fan dissipates the heat well. Although two O-ring connectors are included to make it a dedicated system charger, I am considering buying an additional output cable for automotive battery applications, because this charger will perform desulfation. That versatility in function appeals to me and certainly increases the value of the purchase.

So I bought the Vevor 20amp Version charger from Temu. Its exactly the same charger. Unfortunately it had problems and I had to return it. I am so glad I did. This WAVLINK 35 AMP is much nicer. I actually think these guys are the ones making these. Vevor is either a cheaper unit or a copy. This unit is More heavy duty. You can see the difference in the connectors and the wiring. Unlike the Vevor this one worked perfectly. I did bring a dead battery back from the dead..

I usually don’t write reviews. But I do have to say I love this little charger. I did have an issue with the screen after 3 uses. Wavelink quickly responded asked for a video of the issue. New charger was sent out and received in 3 days. Great product good customer service. Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this charger. It's gorgeous and intuitive to use. Very effective and practical. However I HAVE to give it a 1 star review because I CANNOT get this charger to deliver 35 amps as advertised. Highest I could get was 30.6amps even on a LiFePo4 battery that supposedly can charge at 180 amps (super low internal resistance). To be fair 30amps is more than I will ever need and I honestly use 20amps and it's worked flawlessly. But I'm sick of over promising and under delivering chargers. My last charger (different brand) was advertised at 10amps and only delivered 7.2amps. If this charger was advertised as a 30amp charger and it was performing as it is now, it would get a 5 star (6 stars if I could) review from me. Hands down the best charger I've ever used or owned. But stop the false advertising. Please

Charger works fine so far but be aware that it does not have a natural 0 volt BMS “wake up” capability in its LifePO4 or Lithium charging modes. This means it will not activate the BMS of a brand new lithium battery (the new battery will not function until this is accomplished). You can trick/force this charger to wake up an inactivated lithium battery by putting it in AGM/Lead Acid charging mode and activating supply mode after selecting the desired voltage. Of course this is a workaround that the instructions do not cover. Also, this charger is not capable of supplying the full marketed current ratings. For example, 24v 20amp hour mode only outputs 15-16 amps consistently

I use this multiple times a day as a dealership technician, with recalls everywhere calling for reprogramming modules, if you don't have a charger connected while reprogramming it usually will fail. I haven't had this long but it works great and I didn't even know that it had a supply voltage setting which is what you're supposed to use for modules anyway. The only downsides I've noticed is the display is hard to see, it gets very dim and dark depending on the angle that you're looking at it from but if you stand it upright it's not an issue. The voltage displayed on the charger isn't accurate. It's off by . 5v to 1.0v(showing higher voltage) compared to VREF or the battery which makes me wonder if the amp reading is correct, also, the cooling fan is on the bottom of the unit which gets fairly warm, I feel like it should be on the top since heat rises. It doesn't really matter I guess because I've not had any issues, it's just something I noticed. For the price it works very well and I made buy another.

So far this has been a great unit. Charges batteries quickly and the display takes the guess work out of it. It is a battery charger so keep an eye on it while charging. It is not extremely hardened so use it in the garage.

Great smart charger, ramps up/down amps properly (including the final "top-off" balancing stage), 29A max charging (full power) for my 150Ah LiFePO4 battery. Cons: runs hot (underpowered cooling fan) on one side of unit. Bit noisy.

Works as advertised. And yes, like other reviews the battery wires gets warm when charging at 35 amps.

So far, I like it, especially for the price. It might have a bit of a problem staying at 35A, but when charging, it cycles up close to that, 34.5A, etc. For my DIY shop use, which includes diesel pickup trucks with two batteries, I find it has adequate power to get me through while I am working on the trucks. I have not tried it on the newer ones that have an electric (non-serpentine belt) AC compressor asking for cool, max fan speed with all lights on yet, but I think if I am asking for that in 10-minute cycles, it should hold it and then charge the battery again after I have the request turned off.

Seems to be working well. Easy to set up. Was a better deal than similar items at auto shop.

Echoing others, here. This is a not a 35A charger, but rather a 30A charger. It is mislabeled both on the product itself and on this advertisement. If you can live with that, it's a good unit. Somewhat inefficient (necessitating a noisy fan) and no control over the charge profiles (ie. tail current / peak voltage), but for the price it's not bad. This would have been a 5 star review if they hadn't lied about its performance. I don't understand why they lie about its performance. The user will discover it immediately, so why lie, especially with Amazon's return policy? For what it's worth, this is a rebrand of the Vevor 35A charger, which apparently is also a 30A charger, not 35A as advertised.
