Does this product dry clear and glossy?

Yes it does. I have used it on the flesh side a couple times to smooth down the roughness. Dying was clear and if you varnish it with a glass varnisher it does come out shiny. Just wipping it on and off will not make it shine.

After an application of the Tokonoe will the leather take stain?

I only use the clear tokonoe on my veg tanned leather chest holsters. I always get it slopped all over the place and make a huge mess, but when it dries I don't notice any stain. Its like water. I just wipe off the excess tokonoe after burnishing and my stuff comes out amazing.

There's no description of what this product is used for?

It is used to smooth and "burnish" the unfinished edges and back of leather. There are several tutorials on YouTube showing how to use it.

where can i get the plastic applicator?

you do not need a special applicator to put this on. Watch some leather worker videos and almost all of them use the tip of a finger to put it on the edges.
