Fantastic Portable Ice Maker
I love this ice maker . I live alone do I was looking for something that wouldnโt tags up the entire counter . This is perfect . There are two sized ice cubes small and large . I love the large bullet ice . The machine produces 9 cubes every 6 minutes or so . The machine does not get that warm. It is not loud at all . I like the buttons that tell you if you need to add water or when the ice bucket is full . The ice will melt if you donโt take it out of the tray as itโs not refrigerated . This is a great value . Also comes with a handle for carrying .

Sturdy, does make little ice cubes, just not enough for us.
Sturdy machine but doesn't make much ice. It made 2 snack zip lock baggies of ice cubes in 24 minutes. The "large" size ice cubes are pretty small. The water drain plug is made of plastic and in my opinion wouldn't last very long with regular use. It was also difficult to get the plastic cord in a position that I could put the plug into the drain hole. I purchased this to use when our freezer ice maker would quit, but it would take too long to make enough ice for our family for a day.

Avoid used items.
The item was not in the stated condition (โvery goodโ), was missing the carry handle and the ice scoop, packaged haphazardly, and was CLEARLY not a refurbished item. An awful experience other than the ease of initiating a return.

Not Bad nor Great
This ice maker is perfect when you need just a small amount of ice in a pinch. It makes 8 pieces (large or small) in under 7 minutes. The size is not very consistent as the smallest Large piece is the same size as the biggest Small piece. Ice is not solid. Each piece is made with an element tube that freezes water around it, resulting in a hollow center. The unit generates a low humming noise so it is tolerable. Wattage is not listed but I imagine it to be quite high to be able to freeze water in such a short time. Therefore, for me, it would make more economical sense to just keep a tray of ice in the refrigerator's freezer. LIKES + Size + Easy Use + Self Clean + Quick + Value DISLIKES - Small Volume (at 8 pieces per session) - Weight (Heavy)

Thanks to our fridge ice maker
The came up in my recommended at the perfect time. I don't typically prefer ice in my drinks, but I know that when we have people over or my wife wants to "spruce" up a beverage, it's nice to have this around. The reason being is that just like many of you, we experienced a complete failure of our built-in ice maker. The ease of use with one of these ice makers is really understated. I will say that we choose to just run it occasionally. We don't keep on all the time. We just run several cycles of ice and just bag it up and pop it in the freezer. The noise level when making the ice is reasonable, but I don't think I'd want it running all the time. As far as the capacity is concerned, it's what you'd expect from its size. We fill it up a couple times to get about (just under) two baskets. Also, if you did want to run it more than occasionally, just keep in mind that the insulation is decent, but the ice will slowly melt, drip back down and just keep making ice. As far as the aesthetics it's fine. We don't mind keeping it on the counter. From start up you can have about one(ish) scoop of ice in just a few minutes, so if you just want to keep the reservoir filled and then turn it on and do a few things in the meantime, you can come back to at least enough to get your drink cold, but you may want to wait for at least two cycles to put a decent amount in your glass. I'm glad we have it and we plan on keeping it around. We've had this now for about 5-6 months without any issues.

Easy to use
The function and finish are perfect for me. The unit was packed well, and parts were secured during transit. I was hesitant to use it for a couple days while the refrigerant settled, and compressor stabilized during transport because it gave me time to read the refrigerant could explode claims too many times. I can get three to four full ice bins for every water fill. Ice melts back into water reservoir to be recycled. It stops when it's full; the IR sensor beam will stop and starts up again when the IR sensor path is working again. I let it run continuously and it will always have a full bin and the ice making process gets down to four or five minutes. A full bin is suitable for four to five 5 8oz glasses of ice. With the room temp water, and I strongly suggest using a filter like zero water, it takes about eight minutes for your first batch of eight cylindrical ice nuggets to be made. Even on large ice you'll need a few cycles for that first drink. Nuggets are frozen, but barely. The noise level is very low during the freezing cycles but it's very loud when it drops them onto a tray to be mechanically shoveled into the smallish bin. With little to no freezer room to put ice cube trays, I can now free up more space for food to have on my grilling excursion for summer and my cozy mealtimes during winter. Honestly, it is nice and worth the price. Within 8 mins I had my first serving of large cubes and used them for my drink as I was walking out the door. Just make sure you wash it out occasionally to prevent mold build up and malfunction. I cleaned it before using some water and alcohol and made sure the inside was dried, ran a few cycles of water through and drained from underneath, then let the ice maker start freezing.
