I was recommended by a friend to use a hard plastic mouse pad from Steelseries as he had a hard plastic one that was good at tracking, smooth and durable (his lasted more than 10 years!). So I got one and was rather impressed by the quality, switching from multiple fabric mousepads, including ones from Steelseries.

I prefer hard gaming surfaces for my mice. And this SteelSeries is expensive but I have it to be the most accurate and fastest for movement and for braking. Try to catch one when they are on sale.

I've been looking for a replacement for my Razer mousepad after I had worn it out. I tried a well-made, 5-star rated micro cloth gaming mousepad. It's now under my keyboard. After reading reviews, I bought the QcK Gaming Surface from Steel Series. Medium in size, it fit's my desk perfectly without taking too much space. The best part about this mousepad is the hard surface on a rubber backing which cushions the surface and makes the mousepad nonslip. Once I used the Razer mouse software to dial in my 20k DPI gaming mouse, it was all she wrote! Extremely precise for precision aiming and very fast for making moves. Surface is easy glide whereas the micro cloth types are "catchy" and slow. The hard surface could irritate your hand over time, but I solved that issue by wearing fingerless cotton gloves. I'll buy another, just in case I wear this one out! Highly recommend this mousepad, IF you prefer the hard surface type. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
