Despite numerous attempts to set this thing up - following the manufacturer's directions - it couldn't be done. The problem appears to be that, when they tell you to select the repeater from available sources, that shuts out whatever you had been using. Then, when you try the next step, which is singing in via the internet, you have no connection to do so. I got tired of banging my head against the brick wall and returned the thing. And no, I won't try another one, because they're probably all coming from the same factory in China with the same directions, and I'vce had enough frustration, thank you. Bottom line: good idea, poor execution. Remember, folks, mediocrity is a result, not a goal.

Once you understand the setup. It is pretty simple. I had to press the reset button because the administration login was not available. That happens if the device is already configured as a Wi-Fi extender for another network, which is not clear in the instructions. After logging in setting up as Wi-Fi extender to my home Wi-Fi. I lost the administration page to configure the Wi-Fi-extender, but the good thing was now I could connect my phone to the extender Wi-Fi using my home Wi-Fi password. I am now able to get strong signal throughout my whole house.

I refuse to rate or endorse this product. This is the third time I have ordered an electronic product from Amazon and the thing that arrived is different from what is pictured and described on the Amazon website. The WiFi Repeater was relatively inexpensive so I decided not to waste my time complaining or sending it back. However, I was stunned that you would dare ask for a rating. I will not order electronics from Amazon ever again and will advise my family and friends to do the same.

1st of all my wife ordered this to support our nest Cam outside our home this is the worst product and the biggest gimmick that we have ever invested in from Amazon I just got back from overseas and realize what a waste of money that we have invested in not happy with this product. What a rip off I'm very disappointed that Amazon allow faulty product to be sold on their website

The product works as described and the instructions are clear enough. I did have to reset to factory specs for testing the WiFi Repeater vs. Access Point. Resetting the device to factory specs was not successful the first time but I kept trying and it eventually worked. In addition, the power plug in the back is adjustable which allows you to change the profile with the wall plug. Don't change it, I tried changing the orientation of the plug with no success. Just leave it alone, and be happy. Overall the device works as described and the cost is reasonable.

At this moment I am very happy! The first attempt to set up was not successful! I did not read the instruction completely and misunderstood the option to set up. The seller sent an email to check my experience, he also listed few easy steps using my cell phone. Tada! I typed in the IP address, link my router to the repeater, everything worked. From my loft(4th fl.) to my basement(1st fl.), my phone showed full bar for wifi connection!! YEAH!

This device completely failed after purchasing from Amazon, and now I can't return it. Tried resetting, different outlets, and the power light does not come on. I also used the plugs re-oreinting feature to no avail. Simply a piece of junk.

The directions given were easy to follow and the setup went smoothly. It doesn't have the range I had hoped for, but we'll still use it within the house. We have a boathouse about 100 feet from our house. The WiFi Extender is located on a wall receptacle closest to the boathouse, but we don't get the signal in all parts of the boathouse. However, we do get it in the rooms closest to the main house with the Extender.
