Very happy with the guards, they fit well on my 98 polaris sportsman 500 with only minor modifications to fit. The only issue I had was I needed to reorder the guards as the first set was missing the installation hardware but not a big deal. The guards appear to be very sturdy and protect your hands well

We usually only use Acerbis, Polisport or Cyrca Handguards, however for this ATV we decided lets try something cheaper. There haven't been many reviews or pics on these so hopefully this helps someone out. These handguards came wrapped in shrink wrap, all hardware was there, no instructions (but you cant really mess this install up). The aluminum bar is nice thick, rigid and overall has a very nice feel to it. Note that the surface is finished textured where as others like acerbis usually use a smooth finish. This finish does look just as good. The cups are molded very well, I was expecting sharp mold lines but the quality really surprised us, can be installed without any sanding. The cups are mounted using bolts so they are replaceable or you could ditch them all together if the aluminum bar is enough for your purpose. The clamp is also aluminum, the bolts are adequate for this purpose and the threads are done nicely. I really love that with this system we didnt have to take everything off the handlebars to slide the clamp off like we have to do on the acerbis ones. The sleeve bolts are finished well also, these should work with two different handlebar thicknesses. We ended up using the original sleeve bolt on our original trx450r handlebars, for that we had to bore out the hole on the aluminum bar some using a step drill, very easy. We assembled the guards loosely, pushed them in place and torqued everything down, it was that easy. We havent taken them on the track yet but judging from the materials I have no doubt they will be good enough and last for trail riding.

I installed these on a 2020 Honda CRF-250 Rally in about 45 minutes. Here's what I took away from the install: Pros: Cheap. At just under 30 bucks I figured that these were worth a try. They look nice. They 'seem' to be sturdy. Time will tell. Assembly was fairly straight forward. Cons: They have to be bent to fit this bike. I was able to use my press brake to make the bends, but most people will probably have to resort to a hammer and a vise. The bends in the pictures are circled. There was a VERY slight bend from the factory, but you can see I had to take mine quite a bit further. The bolts that go into the end of the handle bar has a tapered head, but the bars are not countersunk so the head of the bolt doesn't sit flush. Not a big deal, but the manufacturer should have either countersunk the bar or used a pan head bolt. The bar clamps seem to be okay, but the plastic bushing will probably let the clamp roll/twist if hit with much force. Th bolt that goes through the hand guard and into the clamp needs to be about another 1/4" longer. If you use the oblong washer that comes with the kit, you will only get 3 or 4 threads into the clamp. Even with the washer removed, about half of the threads in the clamp are still unused. Hopefully, I never have to test these out, but if I do, I'm a little concerned that these may roll upon impact. Overall, I think that they will keep the levers from getting broken off (unless hit 'just right') and if you don't mind having to do a little bending/modifying, these hand guards are a decent buy at 29 bucks.

I don't like writing reviews that mean to slander the company but I thought as a returning consumer everyone should know my updated thoughts about this product. I purchased these hand guards once about a year and a couple months ago and they were solid, quality for the price and fit great on my CB300F. Fast forward to present day, the guards protected my bike from two falls and finally the left one bends and becomes unusable but PROTECTED my lights and my clutch levers beautifully. I purchased them again thinking they would match the quality they did previously but I was wrong. What was sent to me was one with much THINNER metal, the plastic was sloppily outlined and looked like it was misaligned. The weight drastically decreased making me dread that they could snap at the thought of a fall. Be careful buying these in terms of expectations. Sure they will protect your hands from debris and wind but coming from a RETURN CUSTOMER, I am sadly very disappointed that they choose to sacrifice quality to keep production cost low. It's a shame really.

UPDATE: After a second tangle with an immovable object (tree) on the right side this time, I've decided that the plastic 7/8" bar adapters cause a LOT of problems. They don't allow the bar clamp to get a good grip. When the handguard takes a hit from the front, that clamp slides, letting the guard bend. If you've got a 7/8" bar, get some metal adapters and these guards will work a LOT better. The bar end clamps have the same problem. The material is so soft, it doesn't grip the inside of the bar well. So, you get what you pay for - But, they have saved my levers twice now - just required bending afterwards to be usable. Once installed, these handguards do what they are supposed to. But, the fit/finish is as expected. During installation, the included screws don't fit through the washers - had to enlarge the washers with a file to fit (see pictures). Also needed to put some significant bends in the aluminum to make it fit flush with the handlebar mounting bracket. There is no adjustment for mounting angle - so it had to be done to the aluminum (you need a vise). The handlebar expander nut is a very soft aluminum and doesn't grip well. But, it works. And for the price, I would buy these again over paying for a set of BarkBusters. UPDATE: Out riding and took a dive. These guards landed on a root and seemed ok. After a minute, I realized they were all bent out of shape and the expanding handlebar retainer nut had pulled out when the guards had bent a little. Saved the clutch lever - so did it's job, and only took a few minutes with a vise to put it back properly. So again, you get what you pay for - but it does the job for a lot less money.

These fit easily on my 2006 Yamaha TTR125LE and look nice. I only to had to bend the mounting ends a tiny bit in a vise to get things to line up, which would be necessary even with more expensive guards. I had to add a small piece of innertube around each of the bar end mounts to get them to fix securely in the handlebars. My bike has 7/8" steel OEM handlebars, but I think the bar ends would also work with thicker 7/8" aluminum bars with a smaller internal diameter. You might need different bar ends if the ID of your handlebars is larger than mine. Once installed the guards are very secure and should work well. They are clearly not of the same quality design and materials as name brand mounts, but they cost only about 1/3 as much or less and I think they are a good value for light use, the occasional fall, and keeping brush and branches from slapping your hands and control levers. I would say they are less than 1/2 the strength of the Moose Racing guards I have on two of my other bikes, and I would expect they will bend with a hard fall, though probably save your levers. They are soft enough you could probably bend them back easily a few times before they break, but if you need something to hold up to repeated impact or a little abuse, you might want go ahead and buy something more substantial. They are not thin or cheap looking, just the metal is much softer compared to the Moose guards. Update: Bought a second set and installed on a Hawk 250. Works great on that bike too, but I needed to to use a 3/4" spacer (I just used two large nuts) and a longer 8mm x 1.25 bolt to extend the handlebar mount for the left guard so it would clear the clutch cable. The bolt length needs to be more than 1 1/4 inch length below the head but it could be 2" or longer and still work.

this is the second set of these wrap around handguards that i have purchased for my 2023 WR250F. the first set saved my clutch lever when i laid my bike over on bedrock. the impact bent the handguards a bit, but not enough that i couldn't straight on the trail and continue riding. when i got home, instead of trying to restore the original curvature without the proper tools, and at this $28 price point, it was far less effort to just buy another set. i can't imagine spending 3 or 4 times this much on a more expensive set only to be in the same situation in the end. some installation notes... the metal bar adapters did not fit inside my bar ends at all, and the plugs themselves without something to fill the gap would not tighten fully. my solution was to use 1/2" x 5/8" clear tubing instead. this has the advantage of having a bit more grip inside the bars than metal on metal. as others have said, the plastic spacers that come with the inner mounting brackets are useless. instead, i used strips of 1" x 1/16" neoprene until the fit was tight. on the first set i took (far too much time) with a vise trying to bend the inside ends of the guards to match the angle of the inner mounting bracket. on the second set (shown) i simply tightened the main bolt more which induced a slight curve in the guard and closed the majority of the gap caused by the angles not being exact. finally, the color between the first and second set varied a little, with the second being a slightly darker shade of blue. the first set matched the headlight better, but the second set matches the fenders and side panels almost exactly. i guess even yamaha has had some difficulty getting the color just right. i would definitely recommend these handguards and will absolutely buy another set in the future if needed.

Bars wouldn't fit 450mt/Ibex 450. Much too long. Additionally all hardware is made cheaply and most of it stripped out while attempting to install. Protectors may appear to be thick, but bend very easily.

Produit acheté pour un CRF300F et s’installe bien, à besoin de quelques petites modifications pour fitter parfaitement mais pour le prix ça vaut la peine. Je l’utilise surtout pour des sorties en sentier bien dégagé et protège bien des roches et des branches. Par contre pour des utilisations plus intensive comme de la track ou des sentiers très accidenté peut être que sa durée de vie va être limité

A had these exact handguards on 2 previous bikes....so I knew what I was getting. 3rd set, just as happy as the first 2 times. Thick aluminum, but soft enough to be able to tweak a bit to they line up nice. The other 2 bikes got dropped and flopped and the guards held up just you'd want them to and protected the levers. These are identical so they'll hold up the same. Great buy, 1/3 the price of a nearly identical name brand. If you smash them hard enough to actually break one...well, they didn't owe you anything anyway. The plastic is large and really cuts the cold wind on chilly days....and it's soft enough that it doesn't break when it hits the ground...every time they hit the ground they just got scratched. Can't beat that.
