20TBですが18.1TBとしか認識されません
TranscendとWestern Digitalの外付けHDD6台がもう10年選手となったのでとりあえず1台に纏める為に購入しました。数日かけてコピーを取っていますが、意外と静かです。また半年後くらいにこちらのバックアップ用に購入予定です。

作動音うるさすぎ
多くの皆さんが指摘してますが、作動音がちょっとうるさすぎで、「寝ている間に、大容量のデータをコピーする」とか難しいかもしれません。うるさいだけでなく、「地震の時の振動」みたいな音や振動がする時もあり、気味が悪いです。

Not as advertised
It would be a great product with 5 stars but its falsely advertised I bought a 20TB drive and got a 18TB drive with a 20TB label. I understand every drive needs a bit of space for operation but even after format its just 18.1TB on this drive.

Great HDD, Massive Space
The Seagate Expansion 20TB drive offers massive storage at a great price, perfect for backups or large media libraries. Setup is simple just plug and play and most will find it reliable for long-term use. However it runs a bit warm and louder than expected at times. It comes with all the international outlet plugs with a modular AC adapter, that’s the first time I’ve seen something like that packaged with an External HDD. For the sheer amount of space and dependable performance, it’s a solid choice for bulk storage.

Impressive performance
I had low expectations about the speed of this HDD. But to my surprise I am getting a sold 200 to 250MBPS write speed. Such speed is similar to SSD external speed that ranged from 500 down to 100 maps, the Seagate is actually giving a similar performance.

UNDERWHELMING PERFORMANCE BUT DOES THE JOB IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE NOISE
I bought the Seagate Expansion Desktop 20TB External HDD to compliment my two-year-old Seagate Expansion Desktop 16TB External HDD that hasn't missed a beat. I was hoping for the same from my new 20TB HDD.It's early days for a realistic review of the 20TB HDD, but I will share my initial thoughts.PROS* Arrived from the UK to Australia in decent packaging (undamaged).* Australian power socket adapter included. Other adapters covering most continents were also included, making it very handy for overseas travel.CONS* No USB cable included. I had to purchase one before I could use the drive.* Drive makes a grinding, vibrating sound when used.* A clunky, striking sound similar to a hammer hit occurs when the drive comes out of sleep/idle state.* Very slow read/write speeds.* Intermittently disconnects from computer but fails to reconnect automatically. I have to physically take out the USB cable and plug it back in for the drive to be seen by the computer.So far, the performance of the drive has been a little underwhelming.I would likely look for other remedies for my storage needs in the future.
