Everyone has different criteria for what constitutes the perfect bag. I have a lot of bags and a lot of wishes. And I have admired this bag for years but would never spend the money. My latest necessities have been it fitting my new laptop, looking professional and not collegiate, and stability - it not tipping over when open and sitting on the floor. LAPTOP SIZE: If you are holding out on ordering this backpack due to worry about your laptop size, let me dispel your worry. I have a Samsung laptop that is considered a 16" laptop. The dimensions of my laptop are: 14" x 10" x 1/2", and also has a diagonal measurement of 17" when closed. I have enough room for my laptop to fit into the dedicated laptop sleeve compartment of this bag, and can easily close the zippers with no problem. PRESENTATION: The presentation/look of this bag is obvious in photographs, and is more impressive in person. The compartment/pocket organization is very thoughtful as well. STABILITY: The best thing about this bag is IT STANDS UP when open and does not tip over. (mic drop) Worth every penny.

Great backpack. Is it worth the cost... no but that's why they're called luxury items. Get a Briggs and Riley if you don't care about having a Tumi on your shoulder. You have to pay the Tumi luxury tax. I got the anthracite color. Size is great. Very sturdy. It will do everything I need it to do. Negatives. Nothing to keep laptop from falling out like a secure strap or something along those lines. No hidden pouch for an air tag. Side pocket lined for water battle doesn't secure it very well when fully unzipped. None of these matter that much to me but they were things I took note of. Also, the anthracite color is 5% ballistic nylon, 90% polyester, 5% leather. Hence the lower cost. I simply prefer this color over black so I was fine with it. If you want 100% ballistic nylon, you have to get the black or navy At the higher price point of 695 ish.

It’s a fantastic investment for anyone who travels frequently and needs a reliable, stylish, and functional bag.
