Nice set. The boat and Mosasaurus themselves are a very nice size and have good details. The features of the set are simple but fun, and is overall a well rounded set. Personally I think the price is a bit too high for what it is but otherwise very solid.

With the up-and-coming movie, I was looking for something that my son could really enjoy. This is super fun to play with, as great for imagination play, and is perfect for dinosaur lovers like us! It’s definitely a unique toy as I’ve not seen any dinosaur toy like this before and I love that it has a vehicle aspect to it. Overall, it is a bit smaller than I expected, but I think that it has good value and is a good toy.

My son is only three so he hasn't seen Jurassic park but he is a huge matchbox fan and loves this boat set. I was surprised at how big the boat actually was not to mention the huge Dinosaur. The first night my son took it in the bath with him and despite the large size it was able to float in the water. He had so much fun and it dried out very quickly. He loves that the boat has wheel so he can drive it on the floor with his other cars. What I really like about this is there’s so many different ways to play with it and he can really tap into his imagination. He was so excited to get another die cast car for his collection and loved pretending the Dinosaur was eating it. He also got a kick out of using the claw catcher to pick up not only the Mosasaurus but also his die cast cars. He even discovered the Mosasaurus would eat and hang onto his finger but it didn’t hurt and he loved doing it. This is a great toy even if you haven’t seen the movie and I’m very happy I got it.

The toy is of good quality. The parts are mainly plastic, but they are made with thick, sturdy plastic that doesn’t feel cheap.The toys are also a good size, the Mosasarus is about the same length as the boat, which is around 13 inches.Good details, you can tell from the pictures I took:I like the details of the toy. There are many, but I’ll just mention a few here:1) the Mosasaurus's skin isn’t just a flat surface, but it has different textures in different areas.2) deck of the boat also has varied textures depending on the location.3) sticker on the boat’s window isn’t just plain black; you can see equipment and people inside....The only con is that I think the price is a little high (maybe because it’s a licensed toy). I’d find it easier to recommend if you can get it for around $20.So, I am giving it a 4.5 star rounds up to 5.

The media could not be loaded. This has been a big hit with my 4.5 year-old. He was most excited about the waterplay feature. He has a similar boat (also from Matchbox) that floats in water. He’s a huge fan of Matchbox & dinosaurs, but has no frame of reference for the Jurassic Park brand. Still, that did not stop him from loving the toy. Both the boat and the raft float (the dinosaur-shark-thing sinks). However, if they encounter “choppy waters” (as created from roughhousing in a kiddie pool), the boat will eventually capsize. I don’t see this being an issue in a more controlled environment, like the bathtub. The toy is also very fun “on land,” with no water involved. There is an attachment for shooting missiles, which is always a coveted feature with my kids. Overall, I think it’s a great value. Lots of features, and you can play with it in many different scenarios/environments.
