Which water would be better to use, city water that goes through filters and a RO system or water well water?

The filters are good for city drinking water and well water. The cleaner water from these will last the filters longer.

How long do the filters last and the cost of the filters?

Each PH001 filter has a filter life of about 96 gallons / 360 liters of water. For one person consuming the water at an average of 2 liters per day, we recommend a filter change of about every 6 months. The more people in your household, the more often the filter replacement. Should i keep this in the fridge? or should i keep it out on the counter? i see in several of the pictures it is out on a counter?

I keep mine on the counter. I don't see why you couldn't keep it in your fridge. I cannot due to space. :)
