Does what its designed to do
Very glad to have found this, it has definitely helped an extremely dry patch under some trees that water would just pools on or run off. It's not a large area so a bottle goes a long way.

Difficult to Judge its Effectiveness
This is very hard to judge. I applied this and then fed the lawn. We then got a few days of very wet weather. The grass did eventually green up so something worked. Its not a quick cure for straw-like grass but maybe this, a feed and a really good soaking can in time improve the lawn.
