AOU SOFT CREAM BLUSH 05 Smiley Cheeks

Beautiful, vibrant color! Not only is the color payoff great, it lasts throughout the day. I usually go for dewy blushes and was hesitant to try this blush out, but I really enjoyed this blush! Highly recommend!!!!!!

This is a very sweet looking little heart-shaped blush. I don't love how the main listing photo makes it seem as though you would receive 3 or 4 of them when it is in fact only one. However, the blush itself is nice. It's almost a shockingly bright coral color but, although it dabs on your cheek that bright, it blends in. It would take a bit of building to get such a bright color, if that is what you're going for. The cream formula helps it blend well, but it almost feels like a powder as you blend it in. Okay, let’s get this out of the way: this packaging is absolutely adorable! The color itself is a very bright orange-leaning coral! I see a bit of white base in it, so it can almost look a little neon, which is great if you want it to brighten your skin. I use either a stipple brush, elf tint/stain blending brush, or a rounded foundation brush to apply and it’s easy to pick up product and a breeze to blend out. Comparing it to my favorite melt blush light, this is more matte when blended out (at least on me; I have drier cheeks) and a “stiffer” formula, if that makes sense. Let’s say, I don’t think it’ll melt off your face. Lovely blush!

For around $20 (the current price as I am writing this review), I think this soft cream blush is expensive and overpriced. I was a bit concerned that I couldn't find an ingredients list for this product, not even on the company's website. (And no, it's not in Korean on the label either.)I'm generally not a fan of mystery ingredients, especially when it comes to cosmetics and food. I also couldn't find any mention of whether the line is animal tested. Since I don't have sensitive skin, I decided to try the blush anyway. It went on nice and smooth and didn't cause any irritation. It doesn't come with a brush or application sponge, but honestly, there's no real need for one. I'd suggest dabbing small amounts onto your cheeks and gently patting them in with your fingertips. If you have dry skin, a very small bit of a light oil (like cocoa butter) can really help even out the look. I got color number 05, "Smiley Cheeks," and it's absolutely beautiful – the color closely matches the one pictured. If you're looking to create a long-lasting, flushed cheek look, this soft cream blush could be just what you need. *Update: Although my box doesn't show the ingredients list (in any language), you can find out by contacting the seller directly. This kind of reminds me of the makeup that comes in little kids makeup. That's exactly what it smells & feels like. However, it's very clearly buildable. It goes on smoothly & my hands are pretty dry. No noticeable irritation either! You can see how the blush looks after I just rubbed my finger through the pan a few times. I do feel like it could last a while with finger application, but it's so soft that a brush may hold in more product than you really need & waste the product. Beauty blenders would probably be more like my finger was as long as you're not shoving it into the pan with all your might haha. This is a CREAM blush!! Not powder. Keep that in mind.

This is the rare product that combines absolutely adorable theme with high quality. The little heart is just adorable and definitely drew me to it. I chose 05 "Smiley Cheeks" and have been wearing it for the past three weeks, and I like my results. I have very sensitive skin, so I’m always super careful with new products, but this blush hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts at all. The texture is creamy and smooth, super easy to blend with fingers, but I have been using a mini beauty blender sometimes too. It gives me a really soft, natural flush that lasts all day, even in the currently blazing heat that sometimes approaches 100 degrees with mega-humidity. I look like I just exercised, that healthy looking flush I love. For context, I have an olive skin tone. The shade is a beautiful warm pink that gives my cheeks a healthy, happy glow without looking overdone. It’s buildable too, so I can go subtle or a little bolder depending on the day. If you want a convenient blush that is just adorable (there is a mirror in the lid too btw) I think you'll like this. My tween daughter tries to steal it every day, so I think it would be a great hit with the younger crowd.
