Cuisinart Round Flip Belgian Waffle Maker, 1" thick Belgian-style Waffle, WAF-F30NAS

I ordered this Cuisinart WAF-F30 Round Flip Belgian Waffle Maker and it arrived very quickly. I got the one that makes one waffle at a time because it is just my husband and me. That said, this waffle maker cooked the waffle in at least half the time of my former maker…. about 2 minutes. So, it will be easy to cook multiple waffles for guests. The light goes on when it’s ready, you pour in the perfect amount of batter with the included 1 cup dispenser. You then smooth out the batter, flip and the green light goes off. When it comes back on the waffle is done. These 1-inch-thick waffles came out soft in the middle with a crisp outside. This is so much better than my previous Hamilton Beech waffle maker, where the waffles were gummy. The non-stick plates work really well, no sticking at all and the nooks are deeper than conventional waffle irons. I like the fact that there is a drip pan included but it is unnecessary as the dispenser makes it easy to put in the exact amount of batter necessary. I agree with another reviewer that the machine feels a bit flimsy. I noticed this when I cleaned the top plate when I got it out of the box, it felt a little wobbly, but I used soap because it came from the factory, and I was trying to get it all off. Now, I can just wipe it clean after use, and not worry so much about a deep cleaning as the iron really has a good non-stick surface. I think this is perfect for home use, it is not a commercial waffle iron. This is kid friendly, as it is similar to those used at breakfast bars in hotels. Positives: • Very easy to use • High grade non-stick surface • Measuring cup to avoid overfilling • Super-fast cooking • Small size • Drip catcher • Very reasonably priced Negatives: • No on off switch (have to unplug) • No buzzer when waffles are done For the money this is an excellent little cooking item. It works very well and is cleverly designed. If you are cooking for a crowed, get the double model, if it is just a couple this is fine. 5 stars

Easy to use & clean. Been looking for the right at home waffle maker and this one is just the one. Very sturdy, doesn’t too much space when storing in the pantry, and worth the money!

Very good waffles. Great improvement would be an audible alert when the waffles are done. Do not judge the first batch. Have not needed to put oil on the plates after the initial use. Do NOT use cooking sprays. Add more water to the batter for crispy outsides and soft centers. Very lightweight overall including lightweight irons. But cooks very good. I do not believe you want this taking up countertop space.

Love this waffle maker! I was looking for one where the surfaces came out for cleaning, but that's not really necessary with this cooker. The surface are so non-stick that the waffle comes out super clean. It only needs a soft wipe to be perfectly clean. The adjustable heat range works well. The drip pan is handy, but if the batter overflows then some cleanup will be needed on the sides, but not on the cooking surfaces. Research a good recipe and enjoy great waffles.

Took me a day or two to figure out how much batter to use, but I really enjoy this waffle maker. The first day I put a little too much batter in so it wouldn’t fully close to be able to flip over. The batter expanded too much and wouldn’t allow it to latch/lock to flip/twist it upside down. It’s very easy to clean compared to my last one. The cook time is perfect for me when I have it set at 3. I can see this lasting. The ease of turning it over and the pan underneath to keep counters clean works well.

I was a little intimidated by all of the stories I’d read about sticking and burnt waffles as well as the having the “perfect” recipe. I ended up using plain old store bought Belgian waffle mix and made 4 waffles on setting 3. They were all perfect. Preheated the iron and sprayed with Pam. Only needed to spray the first time. Every waffle released beautifully. Kids loved them!

I have no experience owning a waffle maker. This is my first one. We've had waffles every weekend since so I'd say it was a great purchase. Easy enough to use. Plug it in and wait for the green light. We use on the highest setting and that gives a soft waffle with a just crispy outside. Also comes with a measuring cup that hangs on to the edge of the bowl facing IN! All the drippings go back into the bowl! (if for nothing else, that is worth it) I recommend finding a recipe online, one that uses yeast and folds in eggwhites at the end, for amazing waffles. Boxed mix makes pancakes that are shaped like waffles. And homemade whipped cream. If you are going crazy making homemade waffles, make the whipped cream too. mmmmmm.. Cons - cleaning - kinda doesn't. You just wipe it down. (maybe this is a pro, there's almost no cleanup) It gets hot enough to sanitize and the waffles don't leave a residue so its cleanish. It's a large appliance. It does store with the irons in the upright position but its not compact.
